Great little budget-unit! READ the instructions ! Suction-cup is very good (after cleaning the windshield,) recording and screen display are nice. Turn off motion, G-sensor & parking modes for continuous loop recording. No problems with cigarette lighter-plug. The only "con" is the screen-display seems QUITE-BRIGHT at night. This could be an interior-distraction - one must be careful! Re-format the card regularly. Otherwise a nice little cam, better than others I've had. After using this item for more than two weeks, I can only say that I am VERY pleased with this purchase. They came well packaged and with good user manual. The front dash cam is very easy to install and operate. The dash cam will start recording immediately after igniting, shut down and save the video when you shut off the car engine. Five minutes recording is a good time, not too long, not too short. The 3-inch display screen will show you the real time image with high quality and clear images. The images are clear in both dark and day. Executive summary of the review: These are excellent dash camera at a cheap price, you'll not regret buying it.

Nice camera, very easy to use

Preface: I require user friendly and budget friendly tech. I’ve had this for almost 2 years. It was easy to set up and it’s easy to review footage. The picture is really clear and works really well at night. I had something fly into my car on the freeway and reviewed the footage to realize it wasn’t anyone’s fault. Sometimes it does randomly restart but I also don’t have the cord tucked away so I think that’s my user error. Also the suction cup does detach from the window occasionally on a really hot day (I’m in Los Angeles). It doesn’t stay on when the car is off but it’ll pop on for a few seconds with movement. Overall I’m really happy with this purchase and would recommend for someone who’s intimidated by tech or on a budget. Covers all my bases for a person that drives a lot, mostly in a metropolitan area, and as a safeguard for insurance purposes. Thank you for the accessible product!

Dash Cam for Cars 1080P FHD 2022 Car Dash Camera for Cars CHORTAU. I ordered NEW, arrived REFURBISHED, before I ever tried to mount the camera to the window, I noticed the plastic mount was BROKEN, in two places. I tried out the cam just to see how well it worked, but sadly after parking for 2 hours on park mode, it filled the 32gb sd card (the max you can use, not included) and so had started overwriting the older files, as described and understood, but seemed like a very small window of time. I put the sd card into an old cell phone and am delighted with that as the 1080 picture quality is much better and the sd card does not fill up as fast and easier to use. Perhaps this cheap cam, if not broken, may be a good option for low resolution, only to be used in a recent incident and shut off right away to save the evidence. -I'll pass, and is on its way back to amazon.

It was inexpensive and it was available. Video quality is fine for reviewing but reading lic plates is prob going to be difficult if even possible most of the time..I got pretty much what I expected for the price, no complaint.. easy set up works immediately out of the box if you bought the micro SD, separate purchase. Format SD in camera as directed.. I get a little slowness on playback and some hiccupping on my pc . Don't know if that's the recording or the pc playback..its only my first day with it so that's all I have for now.. I don't know how the Amazon stars works, if it averages out the stars on the questions..I gave 5 stars for suction and ez set up and 3 stars for video quality.. but I would give 3 stars overall. Buy it in a pinch if you don't need to read most license plates.. and you only want front camera..

I have been researching for about one year. I looked at many vehicle front view video/photo camera that has great video quality. The video is HD which is outstanding. The photo/Video quality is as sharp as any on the market but this will one cost way less money. Small size so it doesn't obstruct front windshield view. Instructions are easy to understand. I have used for 3 days now. Amazed on how many 1080 HD 3 min videos that the 32 gig micro SD (10speed) can store on it. I am impressed with the quality of build and Video/Picture it takes for under $50. Wow! If your looking for front windshield camera that is a hug bang for the hard earn bucks. Then this is the Camera for you. Try it...you will like it. I sure did!!! GF

I’ve had this dash cam for a little over a year now. I bought it for the sole purpose of protecting myself in case I got into an accident or someone else for that matter. People are crazy nowadays and don’t pay attention. 4 days ago a lady hit my vehicle. She refuses to call her insurance company back but tells me she has already talked to them and taken full responsibility. Without dash cam footage this would be an ongoing fight. The last thing you think about is saving a video when you get into an accident. But this dash cam automatically saves the video for you when it detects a crash which I find amazing. The only negative I have to say is the suction kinda sucks. But only in the summer months. Once the window heats up from the sun the suction breaks and it falls down. Not a huge problem just irritating having to keep putting it back up lol.

CHORTAU is very thoughtful in providing a long 10' or so power cable to run from the rear view mirror to the cigarette lighter!! I was able to hide the cord perfectly. The Unit itself is well thought out, High Quality and works really well. I like that it turns itself on and off when starting and stopping my vehicle. The Picture quality day and night is excellent and the 170 degree wide angle captures most of the view in front, including vehicles entering from the left or right. Having said that I live in the country and I had to turn off the Parking Function, and lower the G-sensor to minimum sensitivity because the roads have pot holes and bumps every 25 feet for miles where I live. So I would turn off the video, which put the Unit into standby and park mode, but every time with a huge bump, it would of course turn on and record 22 seconds and then turn back off, but it did this for hours. So the 32 GB card filled up fast and then one massive bump and she locked up, as if I had an accident. (kind of comical in a way) So I can only use the Parking mode setting in the city and even then when moving the unit it will start recording right in your hand...so I leave it off... When the G-sensor was activated the card got full and would not do the loop mode. Therefore I leave that in low sensitivity. So somewhat of a learning curve to adapt to my situation and lifestile, but eventually everything was ironed out and I am having fun with it, using the features that I require, with a feeling of added security and safety.

Hi amazon. I have insert memory card but still can't use. Image clear only i can't use the sd card. How?

After reading the reviews I decided to purchase the camera. Local stores were selling dash cams but the price points were always higher, so buying this one online made sense. I did pick up a 32 GB micro card at Staples and installed it in the camera. It was easy to install and I utilized the mount with the sticky-back as opposed to the suction cup (comes with both options). I mounted the camera on the upper center part of the front window, just below the mirror. The sight line was perfect from this location. The power cable is long enough to hide behind the roof, sidebar and along the under-dash to the power outlet. You can easily tuck it behind the materiel and plastic coverings for a clean looking install. My vehicle is a 2002 Dodge Caravan and it has a power socket that only turns on with the vehicle's ignition, which works perfect for this camera. There is a picture of a key on the power outlets of my van so you know it's only on when the ignition is engaged. I read through the instruction booklet and set my options easily, the menu system is straight forward. Next I took it out for a test drive. When I came back I took out the micro SD card and transferred it to my laptop. The videos were great, good picture quality and a really good view out the front window. This view is exactly what you want for recording traffic incidents or a road rage incident and need evidence of what happened. The reason I bought this camera was due to a road range incident where a car kept cutting me off and then hitting the brakes. Luckily my wife was with me and filmed the incident with her phone, which we later shared with the police. That works if you have a passenger to record the other driver but if you are driving alone this camera is the right solution, plus it records the entire time you're driving. I would recommend the camera as it does everything stated and the price was great. My neighbor is already asking if I could order him one for his truck. I don't think you can go wrong with this item. I ordered it on a Monday, it arrived the next day even though the free shipping stated a Saturday delivery.

This camera is very reliable as per its price. I got this camera on a flash sale from Amazon prime for 58 percent off. Regular price was 119.99 and I got it for 49.99. I received it in a compact box that included two types of attachments to stick to my inner window, one is a suction cup and the other is stick adhesive. I also received a long cord to plug it into my adapter inside my vehicle and a charging cord for when I bring it inside. The picture quality is very good, allows you to read license plates and other street signs. Definitely a great camera to have when disputing a car accident! For an affordable device, I would recommend this to my friends..

I was really excited to get this camera as it is my first item of the kind. Package was delivered on time with all contents in a small amazon box. When I was mounting it, I couldn't mount at the center top of my car as there as some black dotted shades and suction couldn't hold the camera in place. I was able to mount it little middle center. Installation was easy and package has two mounts: 1. for windshield, 2. stand to be used on the front dash of a vehicle. I tried all modes: Night, day and photo. I have read many reviews on dash cam and videos as well. Most of the lower range dash cams had mid to low quality videos at night with rectangular spots visible in them. I was scared if this cam would do the same. Fortunately, cam worked great and really happy with videos. I definitely give 100% score on videos from a dash cam with this price range but in case of photo I would only give 4 out of 5. The only thing I am little concerned about is its operating temperature. In Canada summers could be harsh as well as winters. During summer temperature inside a car could easily go 50-60 oC. Since operating temperature is between -20 to + 75 oC I am little worried about the cam during these extreme temperatures. Other than that, I am really happy with the camera. I have no regrets and intend to keep it as my companion for a long time. I recommend the manufacturer for little re-designing of the outer case. There are no grips and plastic material is of average quality. Additionally, improve a bit on internal mic as I did not properly hear sound in my review videos.
