Is Mikasa embossed on the back?

Yes. (Too difficult to photograph) but Mikasa 18/10 Vietnam is embossed on the back of each piece except the knives which have Mikasa Regal Bead Vietnam embossed

Can I only order the dinner fork

Maybe this seller only offers this as a set, but individual pieces are absolutely available. Amazon has a listing for just the dinner fork, as well as other peices.

I think so. I ordered just spoons on Walmart. Check Mikasa site also.

I’m shocked at 5* reviews. can someone who has had this flatware for a while now report that it does not rust from dishwasher?

I wash the flatware in the dishwasher weekly and have had no rusting. I use cascade dishwashing tabs and finish rinse. I've had the set for almost 2 years.
