CURT17122 Replacement Weight Distribution Hitch Shank, 2-Inch Receiver, 6-Inch Drop, 10-1/4-Inch Rise

Traded my Chevy for a Ram and needed more drop than my setup allowed so I got this to have more options. Problem is it sticks out 5" farther than my old one so thr weight distribution hook-ups won't reach and even my chains barely reach. Need to figure out if someone can add another hole to the receiver shank to make it closer to my previous one. Just found it odd because my WD hitch is a Curt so I would expect parts to be more compatible.

Works great with my 2014 RAM 2500. I used it to replace a shank that was too short on my PRO Series (Reese) WDH.I actually pushed it back far enough that I now have enough room to lower my tailgate without it hitting the tongue jack on my Keystone Bullet 272BHS. Very happy with that!Seems like a quality build and have had no issues so far.

Too expensive for a chunk of steel. Needs better measurements on their ad. The welded cross member was in the way of my spare tire so I can’t carry the spare on the back gate where it goes.

Needs to be shorter coming out of hitch.
