The CURT Rebellion XD adjustable cushion hitch ball mount upgrades your towing system with a smoother ride, greater control and enhanced longevity, all while providing exceptional towing power with virtually no need for maintenance. It is unlike any other ball mount because it operates using ShockDrop technology. At the core of this heavy-duty ball hitch is a cushion isolator that resists jerking, jarring, bumps, vibrations, chucking and rattling noise at the coupling point. Unlike a cushion hitch or torsion hitch that uses airbags or bearings, ShockDrop offers extended resistance to wear without the need for maintenance. The result is a more comfortable drive, increased driver control and better management of the vehicle-trailer combination in events of sudden braking. The adaptive, suspension mechanism and lightweight design of this cushion hitch help minimize stress on your vehicle and its suspension and braking systems. The Rebellion XD shock-absorbing hitch is also an adjustable trailer hitch ball mount, featuring a highly versatile vertical shank that promotes level towing, even with large, lifted trucks. The vertical shank has six height adjustment positions with a maximum drop of 6" (shank cannot be flipped to rise position). For dependable towing strength, the Rebellion XD cushion hitch ball mount is d and rated for 15,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 1,500 lbs. tongue weight (limited to lowest-rated towing component). It has a standard 2" x 2" shank and a 1-1/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball sold separately). For long-lasting weather resistance, the Rebellion XD is protected with a textured, dark grey teridium finish to withstand rain, dirt, UV damage and other corrosive threats.

Great hitch
This is an excellent hitch. So far it has worked perfect. You get a smooth ride and none of the normal clunk. I would definitely recommend.

It adds some cushioning
It definitely gives a smoother ride. The only drawback is that it can easily drag on the ground when going through a dip.

Less road fatigue
Yes, it’s expensive. No you dont forget there’s a trailer behind you. As a contractor and farmer who drives almost 50k miles annually I thought I would try it. After one week of use I would say it does improve the ride experience when towing ; less “ push “ from the trailers when you hit a bump , less back and forth motion while cruising down the interstate, And no front to back push and pull sensation at high speed on the interstate. So even if it’s only 30-40% better ride quality it would seem to be worth the cash over the life of the hitch and would be long forgotten how much the hitch costs as opposed to being reminded you didn’t Buy it and experience the load /road with a traditional hitch.

Not for unlifted 1/2 ton pickups
If you have a 1/2 ton Ford F-150 pickup that is stock and not lifted do not buy. Under trailer load you are more than likely going to drag the bottom of the hitch on the road if you hit bumps etc. It is however a beast of a ball hitch. A one and done solution that I wish I could have used. Now its off to buying multiple 2, 3, 4 inch drop hitches. The 6 is just to much and will drag.
