The Photek eXtender is a 38-inch telescopic horizontal tripod arm designed for photographers seeking versatility and stability. ## Description

The purpose of this invention is to provide a device that frees the camera from the restraints of the traditional camera tripod, allowing the camera to be set in any fixed position necessary in the making of a photograph. Supplied with a quick-release ball head, the eXtender is designed to function easily with digital, 35mm and medium format cameras. Its telescopic design, total length of 38", allows the camera to be placed well apart and beyond the support legs of the tripod itself

**Q: will this work with the amamzonbasics aluminum tripod?**
A: It works with any tripod.

**Q: Will this fit into a carry-on suitcase?  What is the size of this when it is not extended all the way?  I want to travel with it in my carry-on bag.**
A: It's 24 1/2" long when not extended.  The head is about 3" across.  And it's got a little weight - not a fragile piece of equipment.

**Q: does this extension arm work in my Manfrotto Befree carbon Tripod? can it be easily assembled/screwed?**
A: This arm weighs more than your entire tripod. It attaches easily with a 1/4" or 3/8" thread mount, so I suppose it's possible to attach it to a QR plate, or remove the ball head from the center column and attach it directly, but no telling how stabile it will be.

**Q: Can the camera only face downward?**
A: As far as I can tell you can rotate the shafts 360 degrees, you can also attach a ball head on extender for more flexablity.
