Great Software
Encore Hoyle Casino Games 2011 I have used this Hoyle Casino format for several years. I read all the negative reviews however I had never had any problems using the earlier versions of this software with XP, then Vista. I had no problem installing this version on Windows 7 64 bit. I have learned over the years it takes a lot of memory to run all the different games. Without a lot of memory some games are slow or will not run. All games work and I have had no problems and I like the fact that the games are the same as older versions that I have always enjoyed. If you have a fairly new computer with at least 4gb of memory you should have no problem loading this software. I am not a computer tech, just a senior citizen who enjoys gaming software.

Hoyle is a BUST!
I should learn to listen to other users concerning Hoyle's Casino games. Just received the pre-ordered 2011 Casino advertised as Windows 7, Vista, Xp, (even Mac OS). Tried to install on my new 18" laptop Windows 7--was told it wasn't compatible with 64-bit. Tried again and again and it just froze and sat there. Tried it on a Windows 7 desktop--same 'ol same 'ol!!Same your money unless you can do a better install than I was able.

Satisfied
I'm glad it works with Windows 7. I wish it had the original games on it, though. It's got mostly new Slots, but none of the ones my son could play. Bonus: you can switch users without having to quit the game and start over.

"Best Casino Game", according to Hoyle
This casino game by Hoyle has some good features, and while it is a cut above many others, I wouldn't call it "the best". For best, in my opinion, you want Reel Deal casino and slot games. They top the line in reality, graphics and simplicity for players. This game by Hoyle is a reasonably good game, but it does have some foibles. The graphics are nice, but rather outdated. I think Hoyle kind of cheaped out on this aspect of the game. Game selection is varied although limited. The reaction time of virtual dealers is slow. There is no option to play head to head with the dealer or croupier, so there are always other players at the gaming tables, and I find them annoying after awhile. The "sports and keno" option offers only horse racing and keno, and the horse racing takes forever because they actually run a whole race with three turns, and it is slow. This coupled with marginal graphics (horses have no jockeys, and their movements are very wooden) insures I won't likely choose to "go to the races" much, if at all.The slot machine offerings are rather dismal. The multiple line games are still one armed bandit type slots, not like the multiple line video slots offered at real casinos and in other casino programs. They do allow a range of price choices from twenty five cents to a thousand dollars. It seems like they are pretty tight slots (I made thirty pulls without a single win during one game), although I did notice that art imitates life in that, as you spend more you win a wee bit more. In real life, dollar slots tend to be a bit looser than quarter slots. Experts in the real world of gambling and gaming say, with today's technology, slots cannot be set tighter or looser, but it is computerized, so I can't see why it couldn't, at least in theory, be manipulated in real life or in computer gaming. All in all, Hoyle Casino is a fairly high quality game when compared with other brands on the market. I have been spoiled by Reel Deal. Their graphics are superior and they offer many more gaming choices, but to date I have only been able to find their games for pc. Given that there aren't a huge number of choices in games for Mac owners, Hoyle beats most other competitors, but it is a different story when it comes to games for PCs. As for being the "best" casino games, that assessment is strictly according to Hoyle.

Can anyone Say Beta Version? Update 3/26/11 Cheats
What a piece of crap. I have played older Hoyle Casino games and had a blast and hardly no trouble. It seems all I have had was trouble with this game. My favorite games are blackjack and Poker. I like to play tournament style more than anything. Well its sure no fun when you can't open or raise, and that's just what has happened when I play any poker tournament above $5000.00. It sets the open and raise to 0. All I can do is check and call. The thing that gets me mad is when I can play a game that I can bet and raise there is another problem. Say the max bet is $250. Say one of the computer players opens up at the max bet. I can only call and can't raise however any of the other computer players can raise. I don't get it if the max bet is $250.00 and I can't raise how can they? Other nonessential problems I noticed a computer player no longer has any money in blackjack the dealer still goes through the motion of giving them a card. You see it for a sec then it disappears. Other problems that I have seen is during poker. I have seen the dealer drop the flop by a player then it Disappeared and reappeared in the normal spot. Another poker problem is that when you are playing 7 cards, sometimes the cards are partially hidden because of how they are being laid on the table. So you have to guess is that and ACE or a four. there are other minor annoyances but these are enough, and I think you get the picture. I tried a few time times to contact encore about this and I have not heard a peep from them. By the way I am running Vista so it should work. I got so frustrated that I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. NOPE! did not work. not only that but it also remembered who I was and all my other stats. I even went as far as to go into my regedit (Which I do not recommend you do unless you really know what you are doing) after uninstalling it again. Found tons of keys left in there from the game got rid of all of them. reinstalled it and still having the same problems, still had all my stats. This is worse to get off your computer than a Norton product. This acts just like Beta program. It's junk, and unless they fix the problem and get in touch with me about it, you can bet I will never by another piece of their software.UPDATE: 3/26/11 - Well it is still a piece of crap but If you are one of the sad owners like I am and still play it. I stumbled upon a great way to cheat and make a ton of money real quick. In blackjack tournament before you start to bet go into options and change some of your players. I did it because there are a few that really tick me off. When I did that and came back to the table I noticed that my money amount changed. It took and added whatever money I had in my bankroll and added it to my tournament amount. So if I had $50,000 in my regular funds and I was playing a $25,000 blackjack tournament It added that to it while every other player had just $25,000 You will always win. Even if you loose you will only loose the amount that the tournament is for. When you win, it reverses that. Meaning, you not only win what is in your tournament, but it takes all that money and adds to your bankroll. So If I win this tournament say with 150,000 plus the $25,000 prize and I started out with $50,000, Now I go to my bankroll and it will say I have $225,000. Only works in blackjack that I know of. A small consultation to real frickin bad game.
