Does this have light and dark skin colors like in the multicultural crayons?

This set does not appear to have any specific skin colors. Lots that could be used for skin tones, but not specifically named as a skin tone.

Do they come organized by shade like in the picture? Or are they mixed up?

They are all mixed up, I like to solve puzzle and look for patterns and there is no signif any organization in this box. But it does have the colors any kid would need and a plastic sharpener in the back

Can I get a list of all the colors?

There are 96 different colors and they are not listed on the box, but you will have fun using them all.

Has anyone used these to color embroidery designs? Are they washable?

These are wax crayons. not fabric markers. If you mean to color paper pictures of embroidery designs, that'll work. But for coloring actual thread designs, or drawing the colors of the designs into place on the base fabric, you'll need colorfast fabric markers, which won't bleed in the laundry. As for the washability of the wax, it's about as washable as any crayon ... not very. If you have a budding graffitist, buy special washable implements, and paint the walls with super-washable paint (it's a real "thing"). Good luck.
