Works so well. Have the bigger gun, but this little one works so much better on my mower and smaller "hard to reach" spots. Refills and functions just like its big brother.

Bought this in order to inject Groco Ulube into the through hull valves of my boat as recommended by the valve manufacturer. The unit works well but there are three gotchas to be aware of: * the instructions do not match the Groco Ulube grease cartridge. The full end of the cartridge has a lip that prevents it from being inserted into the gun. Inserted the cartridge with the air bubble in the cartridge against the plunger rather than the full end against the plunger, leaving lip at the top of the gun body. Works. * the label on the cartridge makes for a very tight fit in the gun body. Fortunately, the label is easily peeled off of the cartridge. * MOST IMPORTANTLY: the nozzle that clips on the Zerk fitting can be unscrewed completely. The recommendation is to loosen the nozzle (unthread it partially), push onto the Zerk and tighten the nozzle onto the Zerk. There is no stop to prevent one from completely unscrewing the nozzle. If you do, all the parts will fall on the floor. They are all small. Was able to reposition the parts and reassemble the nozzle. A warning in the instructions would be appropriate. Dont expect that this would be a problem once the gun has been used, as then the nozzle would be full of grease which should hold the parts of the nozzle in place even when completely unscrewed.

This is the best mini grease gun I've ever had. I assembled the gun, fixing it so the flexible tube comes out at the top. I loaded a new tube of grease and started to pump, expecting to have to deal with an air lock. I pumped several times and could feel the gun pumping grease by about the fifth pump. I gave the "easy to remove" rating two stars for one reason: The plunger doesn't lock back in the load position very well. It kept on wanting to release, which would have made a big mess since I had the grease tube inserted. It was necessary to keep the extended rod pressed against my leg while screwing the top on. This was awkward. Do NOT disassemble the tip. Four small pieces will fall out and you'll be using words that you haven't used in a day or two while trying to put it back together. A little grease and a toothpick will help, but you'll waste 20 minutes of your life.
