The GeForce RTX 3060 is a fantastic choice if you're looking for strong 1080p and decent 1440p gaming performance without breaking the bank. I can play modern games at high settings with smooth frame rates, and it also handles creative tasks like video editing and 3D rendering quite well. The card runs quietly, and the power efficiency is impressive – I haven't experienced any overheating issues. While it's not the top-of-the-line for 4K gaming, it's a solid mid-range card with great value for gaming and multitasking. Highly recommended!

I have this running on my Frigate NVR for decoding, detection, and GenAI and YOLO7 model for the detector. It powers 8x 1080p and 4K video cameras, which are configured to run simultaneously to record and detect objects. The detector inference speed is approximately 6 ms. It handles the workload like a champ, never missing a beat.

This was an ideal choice for me because it balances standby power consumption with V-RAM and power. I run several 8B - 12B parameter large language models on here and the 12GB of video ram really increases performance over an 8GB card. I also run stable diffusion, and it generates a 50-steps image at 1k in about 30s. It's part of a consumer grade home server and is mostly used to accelerate machine learning tasks in my budget under $600 setup.I don't use it for gaming however you could argue AI workloads are more intensive in some instances and heat dissipation has never been an issue even when concept training stable diffusion on new subjects. It's a solid entry-level card and stays mostly quiet until you really push it and then the fan reminds you that it has an adequate cooling solution.I have a unique use case but the 3060 has always been considered a great entry to mid-range card and mine has been dependable under some brutal loads.

It’s pretty good for the price. It works great in most modern games, and gets 100+ fps on high settings in somewhat demanding games. It stays cool in my case, and was very easy to install. The two fans, make it easier to fit in almost all ATX cases. The only caveat being, that for only a few dollars more, you can get the 4060, which is slightly better.

Solid graphics card!!

As the title says, I really enjoy this graphics card, significant upgrade from what I had last, SecondLife runs seamlessly, Resonite seems to be doing pretty well, I've had no issues or complaints with this card so far, I'm very happy with what I got. At first, I was pretty skeptical about the listing, but now I'm glad I took the chance and bought this card when I did, though tuning it is not like my previous card, I've been able to get around so far, and had no thermal throttling or anything of the sort.Editing my review for the one year later review, though it's been well over a year, but still...Stars are NOT changing! This thing's been an absolute workhorse and has been put through its paces, ever since I got my VR kit some time ago, I've been wondering on how it'd perform, and I've seen ZERO issues thus far! I've not had to do any maintenance on the system in relation to the graphics card, any issues I *DID* have wasn't related to this item, I'm still very happy with the purchase and everything like that. MSI, you've treated me very well thus far, and I've come to respect your products tremendously, great pricing for quality components and the like! I've not had to touch any kind of tuning after the initial setup, and I hope to continue to experience such greatness for years to come!Apart from that, my stance hasn't changed, still pleased with what I've got, and if I ever need a replacement card, or if I need some other component, I know where to look.
