I used a "swing" check valve and my system would shudder when it turned off...I installed this baby on my system, and now it shuts off like butter. Always go with metal stems not the plastic junk. I usually get 6-7 years out of these which is great (see egg shaped hole in pic). When I replace my check valve, I always order a spare check valve, that sits in my toolbox for 6-7 years.

Perfect for my application in a camper to merge my city water and black water flush into one hose.

This unit is built to last. I am very happy with the quality of this check valve. Even though no check valve gasket can forever withstand the sand and calcium particles (from my water softener) in my basement sump, I still expect at least ten years or so of reliable operation.

Works perfect. Stops every bit of backsplash and allows easy filling.

The threads were rough but sealed up ok. The specs say it's good for 200 psi but it leaks badly until the pressure drops below 120 and then leaks slowly from there on down.If you want to slow down the flow in one direction it should be ok for that but it's not much use as a check valve.

Less than 60 days after installation the spring for the check valve broke and it failed. Can't recommend. I thought (based on brand) this would be American made. Nope, says China right on it.
