My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed reading this book to us :-) A twist on the tale of Scheherazade. Not for the fainthearted as there are lives threatened throughout. But if your child enjoys thrills and adventure then we'd recommend this.

I read this book as a teen and I loved it then. I am now 30 years old, I searched till I found the correct book and reread it tonight. I still love this book. It is so beautifully written and brings to live the story of Scheherazade. Marjan is such a great heroine. I hope to one day instill my love for reading in my daughters and share this story with them.

I read this book myself before giving it to a teenager. It was so exciting! I could not put it down! While it is not a Christian book, it is moral, and it comes from a story long told in Persia and other countries. Very well written. I highly recommend it!
