If you need a disposable tool, you have many choices. You are buying this because it will continue to perform when others fail. I would rather have a tool that performs every time I need it, than fail when I really need it. It amazed me to see what these things will cut, and the edge remains fresh. For those that don't know, you can make a tool edge that is too hard, and it will be brittle, too soft it won't break but it won't cut. Having the best materials and the correct temper (heat treatment process) makes for durable tools. Knipex has nailed this with their cutters. I own several types and sizes and the continue to impress me.

I am so relieved to have these back in my tool closet. I left a pair of these on the nack of my truck and accidentally donated them to random humanity and I was so pissed. These are one of my favorite tools. They might seem pricey but you will find so many occasions where they are just the right tool. I use mine for slipping shoe sole nails, chicken wire, electric fence wire and countless other things. While I was waiting for these to arrive I ended up using my full size bolt cutters for cutting some electric fence wire and really missing this small set.

This cutter really cuts through just about anything with out destroying its jaws. Best I have ever owned. Bought a second pair for the wife to cut wire stemmed artificial flowers and so forth.

I have been buying Knipex products for over 10 years. They are expensive, but I felt that they were worth it. This product is no exception. The reason for the poor review is that I found that the company does not stand behind its products: One (of about 15 Knipex products I own) failed. It was practically brand new, and I followed the Company's process for possible replacement. The answer I got back was, "no--because it has been heavily used". The Company refused to even look at it--and the picture I sent should have shown the tool's condition. This is not the same experience I have had with all the other tool brands. So--much as I like Knipex tools--I no longer will purchase their products.

Je connais la marque et ce produit en particulier. En pose professionnel de clôtures... sa démultiplication assure une aisance de coupe. Depuis de nombreuses années ce produit ne m'a jamais lâché. Par contre, félicitation Amazon. La première commande était perdue, en 48 heures ouvrables l'article m'a été renvoyer. Merci

Knipex make excellent tools , but yhey are a little bit pricey .
