This is a great pencil to learn how to work pencil style lures, with the quick twitches in the rod and steady retrieve the lure will walk or dance on the surface very easily. This pencil also floats horizontal on the surface so I find I can work it a little slower similar to a spook, but also fishes well at a faster pace.

Caught my PB bluefish on it! The 1 oz casts on a 9ft surf rod with 4k reel and 40lbs braid about 75 yards like a charm! Sharp hooks and durability. Bought a couple more in other colors.
