Nice enough!
It seems to work.I notice the sticks are not all quite the same size, the red is a bit thinner and the blue is a bit fatter. The picture on Amazon is small but does show this.It seems clear from their weight that the sticks contain mineral pigments - they have a heft similar to pottery. I ground up some of the red, blue and green and they made nice colorful ink, less gaudy than some of my "western" watercolors but very nice going on my watercolor paper with a sumi brush.Because some mineral pigments are rather toxic I don't think these are suitable for children or people who lick paint off their fingers.I found grinding ink on a suzuri stone oddly soothing and restful.
