Well Exceeded my Expectations
I saw this product listed for $24 on amazon and thought I'd give it a try. It had everything I needed (Wi-Fi extender, 3G access, and Powerbank). I wasn't expecting much because I've seen those lip stick chargers on HSN and QVC for $16 and never thought that this work work as well as those. When I received the item, I found 3 things in the box, The Powerbank device, USB Charger cable, and very small manual. I began by booting the device up and plugging it into my iPhone (which was at 24% battery). The device came with 75% of its battery life and charged my iPhone the whole way through. I thought that I would need to recharge the device because my iPhone was very low on battery and would suck a lot of the power from the Powerbank, but no, it was still at 75% life! Unbelievable! This was worth $24 alone! I then tried to set up the Wi-Fi function to extend my current broadcasting channel. That was a breeze to set up and it works perfectly! This device is well worth the money and I can't believe there are no video review about it!

fair to middling battery, really poor router
I purchased this device mainly for the capability to acquire files from my DSLR camera with my iPhone so that I could post images will traveling with out the need for bringing a separate computer. I bought this instead of more dedicated solution like the Eyefi cards as this type of solution would allow acquiring images from any SD card. For possibility of charging my phone and acquiring data from USB devices, I consider this device worth the risk given the price. As a battery, this device works acceptably, however router functionality to share data with your mobile device is flaky at best.On the battery front, the device requires 1.5 mA 5V power to charge, so many of the USB chargers you have around won't work well. If you attempt to charge the battery using an adapter that does not meet the minimum 1.5 mA, the out come is indeterminant. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. This is likely why there are negative reviews about the why the battery won't take a charge. I would recommend the Anker brand batteries instead. The Anker brand batteries have handle charging from solar better than this as the Anker brand handle inputs with less than 1.5 mA better. The Anker batteries also do great job at figuring what is connected to the USB port providing the best output to charge the device as fast as possible. On the router front, this device terrible. The device insecure at best. The device runs some variety of Linux and it has a couple of logins. The root password is easy to guess and the device allows anonymous login. File transfer is done with simple http get and post of over open channels. The iCloud application is their recommended way to access shared data attached to this device. The iCloud application for the iPhone crashes if there are more than dozen or so files in the same directory. Using various web browsers, I have been able to make some use of the device, but I'm less than pleased.I reached out to TeckNet support team, but they have not been able to help resolve the issues with the file transfers. As such, I cannot recommend this device. There are better battery chargers out there in the same price range and router capabilities of the system just don't work as described.

Does not work with most USB Modems
Contrary to the description, the 3G USB port does not work with most USB modems. I tried it on the HUAWEI E1756 and ZTE MF190, they do not work. I wanted a hotspot with plenty of battery, I feel cheated. Here, on Amazon found a list of modems that supposedly work. I would not recommend this product, if you want a battery buy one, are thinner and more portable than this.
