LEGO Technic Porsche 911GT3 RS 42056

Got mine in today through Lego.com. I paid $299. $317 with shipping. I'm an Technic collector. Got two F1s, and several of the red sports cars. This one blows them away in detail. It's that intricate. I weighed just the box and it came in about 12 lbs. The manual is 578 pages. Yes, 578 pages. Some of those pages are a history of Porsche, and snapshots of its museum in Stuttgart, Germany. However, most of the pages are instructions, and perusing through the manual gives one the impression that just like most German cars, every nook and cranny is filled with something.Some of the pieces have the decals already on them. There is a small decal sheet with just a few stickers. Bags are numbered, and the manual is ordered by bag number (ie: section 1 for bags #1, all the way through section 4).The packaging from Lego was over the top. The model was within a slightly larger box (and was very snug), and that box was padded within a much larger box.If you like Technic sets, I'd definitely get this one. And if it's like past Lego sets of this kind, get two!

Got this Lego Porsche GT3RS for my husband for our anniversary. He loves it! It took him two weeks to put this together part-time! Maybe because he used to be a jet mechanic with the U.S. Navy! The finished product is awesome, with the steering wheel working, doors opening, and a piece of luggage that fits in the trunk!

It was a gift to my Son-In-Law, who spent an entire weekend assembling the Porsche and now displays it in his Office! It was a hit and has received compliments from anyone who see it.
