The ball itself is very durable. It wears him out and he loves it. (And I love it!) We have had this toy for a few months, I have not noticed any aggressive behavior since using the toy. We dont play tug o war with him though. I honestly don't believe this type of play "causes" aggression especially in a controlled environment. To be quite honest, the rope is usless. He shredded it within a day. We ended up buying new cotton blend rope from walmart in the home section which is holding up nicely. If you do this make sure the rope isn't treated with anything toxic and make sure it wont cut your dog's mouth The other issue is the ball does lose water quickly for my taste but I think it is kinda expected when sitting outside ALL day. So I filled it with aquarium gravel to a weight I know he can handle. I can still fill it with water to make it heavier. Again if you fill this with sand etc. Make sure your dog can handle it. I plan on buying another for him for Christmas so he has different weights. It should probably only be used outside. It's very heavy when full and it leaked a little, which is not something you want going on inside your house, especially not on a wood floor. I passed the toy along to my sister who lives in another state.
