The quality of the unit is excellent 👌It could not be better for the price. It is stainless steel so won't rust. Speed controller does it's job plus gives forward and reverse. As stated excellent value and quality .

To be honest I was expecting to be disappointed with this tiny belt sander but for shaping very small brass and aluminium model parts it works very well (once the vertical back-plate has been adjusted into position and the horizontal table plate set at 90 degrees to the belt).It's not going to shape anything larger than a thimble unless you have a lot of time to spare but for the use I wanted it for it seems ideal, and its very much safer than trying to shape a 10mm part on a 30cm disc sander - much less risk of finger loss or the part jamming into the gap and rocketing off across the room.I was expecting the marked "1" and "2" to represent speeds but they are in fact forward and reverse - not sure what reverse could be used for as it's hard to hold the object down accurately on the table against the reversed belt motion - 2 forward speeds would have been more useful. It's a nice size to put away on a small shelf when not needed and it has a tiny footprint on the workbench when in use so not much space is needed, ideal when you're working with small parts.And it looks very cute sat there , like a proper belt-sander gave birth to a shiny baby sander.I like it.

The sander is excellently made and despite its small stature is very robust. It is probably aimed at model makers and the like which it will suit admirably. One thing I did particularly like, was, the price included ten spare sanding belts. Overall I have no complaints with the machine or its performance.
