Works well if a little over priced.
All be it expensive (as most canon accessories are), it does the job well. I’ve been able to easily attach a 17-40mm L and 70-200mm L to my Canon M50 without any issues. I’ve yet to try my other lenses but they should also work fine. I do think it’s over priced for what it is, but it has the usual solid Canon build quality and the ability to remove the tripod shoe from the mount adapter is a nice touch. I know there are cheaper options but for peace of mind I went for the Canon version.

If you own a Canon M5 this adapter is a must
This adapter is well made and works with all of my Canon ef and ef-s lenses. It does slow the AF speed slightly, but unless your trying to follow really fast moving subjects I don't think it will cause problems.

High quality
I do have a non genuine adaptor for my mirrorless cameras at a third of the price . And though I have had no problems with it at all. I thought that I'd purchase a genuine one for my M6. On arrival and unpacking, you realise why it costs that much more. A high quality and well built solid unit that has zero slack in its connection. I do highly recommend the original product if you can warrent the cost

Allows me to use my L series lenses on the EOS M3
As this is a Canon product, there was no doubting that it would function as specified. It works well with the Canon EF 8-15mm fisheye lens. It is well built, and supplied with a tripod adaptor. This is essential when mounting heavy lenses on the small EOS M3 body. Why use the adapter? The EOS M3 is a small camera that is ideal for travel. Having the adaptor just increases its flexibility in being able to use the Canon EF lenses. Of course, the small compact dimensions and light weight of the system are lost when using large L series lenses.

Job well done!
Piece of kit needed to use any EF lens on an EF-M mount camera. Perfect for someone who has bought an M mount camera but who has a lot of EF lenses, or the person who buys an M mount camera and who wants the opportunity to buy a new body in the future decides to opt for EF lenses instead of EF-M lenses. The latter camp makes a lot of sense for those looking to future proof their glass collection as they may want to make the jump to a more expensive, full-frame body later on.There are third-party versions of this adapter, which does make one question why the Canon version is £100, but the quality cannot be disputed and for those looking for their kit to reach perfection this is probably the way to go. The build quality is sturdy, made out of solid metal, but at no point feels heavy. Should the lens you mount onto it be large, Canon have helpfully added a tripod fixture to the bottom of the adapter, should you wish to mount your tripod there instead of on the camera body itself.Almost a must have for any M mount camera owner, and kudos to Canon for giving those M mount owners the option to pair their less expensive bodies with more expensive glass, thank you.
