AmScope Articulating Stand with Post Clamp and Focusing Rack for Stereo Microscopes

I bought this for a generic trinocular microscope that I'd bought on ali-xpress. This ended up fitting perfectly. I just measured the point on the scope where the mount attaches so I could order the correctly sized mount.Having the articulating arm makes the scope WAY more useful. I wish I'd found this mount sooner. Instead of having to move items to my scope (and hope that they fit between the scope and the base) I just move the microscope over to what I'd like to look at.I can't understate how much better this type of stand is than a "normal" microscope stand. Far superior.

This is great microscope Accessory. You can move the microscope out of the way at your desk. If you don’t have much room because you have a lot of things taking up space, this arm is very convenient. I also have used it to look at large TV pcbs which didn’t fit on my desk. The arm came in handy because, I could set the tv on a chair and bend the arm down to do an inspection. The only bad part is one of the knobs of the main sewing arm came stripped. This is driving me crazy, every time I put the microscope in a certain positions it moves! I’m looking to get it replaced actually, But didn’t realize it for the first 30 days so I’ll have to contact Amscope about the replacement I think? For the price the knobs should be one solid piece to prevent this. Overall I do think it’s worth the extra cost to get the arm instead of a regular boom style one.

Solidly built articulating arm. The c-clam can accommodate various thicknesses for table tops, The locking lever on the arm and the knobs hold the microscope steady whether in the seated position or standing upright. Overall, it's an industrial build. The only flaws have been the spotty surface finish in some areas, for the price I would have expected better surface preparation such as removing some of the debris from the machining process. The other flaw is that I have to periodically remove and reseat the locking lever for the microscope mount when moving the arm from a seated to standing position. My problem had been that the microscope head would creap downwards gradually and when moving the arm to be used from a seated postion to a standing postion the locking lever would hit a tightening knob and lock down correctly.A good side benefit has been having the ability to share adjacent workspace with another person due to the range of movement. plus the high can be adjusted to accomodate sitting on a standard office chair, stool, or even standing up on a bench.

I dislike the fact that the microscope's head keeps tilting down continuously, the head support mechanism, at the end of the arm, is not well designed.

This is a good stable mount for my scope. Should have bought it with the microscope to start with. It is a heavy duty, smooth operating mount.

The fit and finish is ok, it's definitely going to hold your scope with no problem. It's no Leica arm, but for the hobbyist it works well without the huge price tag. Clamp is solid no rocking or anything. Works very well.
