He is 2 and still has it hanging in his room. He LOVES it and I can promise both you and your child will too :) Great alternative to music mobiles that I do not really care for. The mobile occupies a horizontal space of 14 inches in diameter, and the swallows have a body length about 4 inches and wingspan of about 6 inches (depending on how you bend the wings -- the swallows are flat when you take the mobile out of the box). **Q: How much assembly is required?** A: None really. The wings need a little bit of folding along crease lines.
