The bottom of the plate is plain white. **Q: Is amazingware same as sweese?** A: It is very similar and I use mine together. Many complements on it too **Q: Are these bpa free?** A: It's porcelain. A really wonderful addition and I like the size, not too big, but not too small The outside of the rim is a different pattern from the piece of the plate. Definitely a much more cherry look than my old white plates. I accidentally banged one on the counter pretty hard when I was taking them out of the box but it didn’t break or anything.
