Such as pearl or topaz** A: NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! This is NOT a jewelry cleaning product. It is a metal acid dip after soldering to remove oxidation, excess flux, and firescale from propane torch. Only copper, gold, silver can be dipped in this solution. Anything else like brass, nickel, zinc, stones, pearls will be ruined. This is not a finished jewelry cleaning product but a bare metal cleaning product during manufacture. Very different. Use soap and water for jewelry cleaning only. **Q: What is the proper way to dispose of this?** A: DO NOT POUR DOWN THE DRAIN EVEN IF NEITRALIZED WITH BAKING SODA! After use, it will be saturated with metal (often blue in color from the copper that comes off the metal that was soaking in the Sparex solution). That MUST be put in a plastic container, neutralized, and labeled before being brought to a hazardous waste disposal center.
