Lots of Love for the Case Thought It is Not Perfect
This is my second Pelican Case but the first Pelican Air I ordered. Indeed it is lighter than the previous model I have bought, really appreciate the weight savings. Despite the smoother touch on the skin of the case, the case did somewhat went out of shape when I tried to overpacked the case quite recently for a flight and the case almost did not close properly given quite the extra volume that I was packing in, but in terms of volume it should fit nicely into the case. The divider cushion is somewhat thicker than the usual black ones that come with the original packaging, which does take up slightly more space than expected but I do know that whatever I put inside, it will be safe!At the end of the day, the case and its contents survived well for its first flight overseas with some obvious scratches from its flight, which is unlike its predecessor that can take a better beating before a scratch mark is obvious. To conclude, the weight savings is what I was looking for in the new Air series and despite the 1615 series looking pretty big, the space is not entirely as large given the new cushion set that I've ordered with it, so there may be lesser items you can pack into the case. Overall, I really love this case as if I don't see my work in the fields of a warzone, it is an adequate case that I can bring along with me wherever I go with its slightly lighter frame at 8kg (With Cushion inserts), as compared to the 1610 case which is significantly heavier at roughly 11.5kg (With Cushion inserts).

best case for camera and lenses...
I love this case, now I can put my three cameras and bunch of lenses and accessories inside and keep them well protected....against elements and environment hazards....the fact that has wheels is a big plus for me...now I can carry on all my equipment for short walks distances or just keep that in your trunk or suv back space...is way lighter than my old pelican case that was smaller and heavier....this one is bigger and lighter....call my attention that the construction quality of this case is very good..,definitely you can’t go wrong with this case....the only negative side is the price...little bit high, but if you want to protect your equipment like me, this case is the way to go...is built to last...

Portable and Rugged
Like all Pelican products this one is well designed and rugged. Even when fully loaded it can roll on uneven ground with ease. Of course, it is also easy to overload it and make it seriously overweight for air travel. So, I split my load by getting a Pelican carry-on size case as well.

Pelican Air 1615 - Pretty good wheeled case
The Pelican Air 1615 is about the same size as my older Pelican 1650 but the 1615 is much lighter. But where I often stand on my 1650, I won't be standing on the 1615 because the 1615 has a thinner top and bottom which flex more. The lid of my 1650 shuts tight evenly all around but my 1615 lid does not. The lid of my 1615 seems a bit warped. Also the 1615 has two fewer lid latches than the 1650. But I don't plan on submersing my 1615 case.My 1615 has one wheel that spins freely and one wheel that doesn't. Maybe I should oil the bearings? Despite the high cost of its padded dividers, the Pelican 1615 comes with surprisingly few padded dividers compared to other case manufacturers. There are few choices for wheeled cases in this size, so the Pelican 1615 wins by default. For its high price, it's generally a good product which needs either better quality control or a slightly better build quality.

Pelican Air hard case for my headphone collection
I've been patronizing Pelican for decades since I discovered them to protect my diving equipment. Then I used them for my photography and gun equipment. Then i used these for about anything when traveling. These are the best built hard case you can get without question in terms of performance and durability. This latest case was purchased to house two DSLRs as well as the accompanying accessories - 2 x portable LED lights, 2 x wireless mics, shotgun mic, batteries, chargers, cables, manuals. Despite the ample yellow padding, there's still tons of space. The best part of this 1615 model is that it's exactly the maximum allowed for International Air travel check in luggage. So you can rest assure you can pack everything in it and have no issue with the airlines. It's also lighter with the latest Air model. For those who have patronized Pelican for decades, you'll notice the change in thickness. It's a bit flimsy, but that's the cost of making it lighter. It doesn't feel like a tank, but I would still trust it for it's ability to seal out moisture and dust elements.I honestly don't know how much more beating it can survive versus the non Air models, but I wouldn't want to find out.Highly recommended. I wouldn't go for any other brand.

Good for storing high value lenses.
I hesitated to drop the money on this, but overall I’m glad I did. I’m really using it primarily as storage rather than travelling but it’s worth it to me to have the high value lenses and cameras stored where they won’t be dropped/damaged. I’ve used pelican cases in the past and had Air Canada literally throw it off the end of a plane in Resolute Bay without the items inside being damaged so I trust it will be durable and keep things safe.

Took it in a helicopter and threw it off of mountain, all my gear survived!
I take this bad boy with me on helicopter rides and throw it from mountain tops. It hasn't failed me or any of my camera gear yet! It's worth every penny. Just make sure you get the one with the dividers and not the one with the phone cubes or the trek pads.

Excellent
Excellent product. Hight quality. Very happy with purchase. 17 pound with paddles. If you buy option with foam, it is also excellent. Foam come in small cubes that allow you to get a perfect form for whatever you will put inside
