I now have 4 bottles of the stuff and they are all defective and unusable. That said, a very small amount will go farther than you think. I also purchased the ebony (please be aware there are sparkles) and did a swatch test with what was on the seal. Depending on your definition of large, you would probably need 1-2. This does not take into account second coats. **Q: will the paint fade away?** A: I painted a life vest with it (bright orange paint on tan fabric) and have used it on my paddleboard for 3 summers. However, I just wanted to jazz up a rather dull paisley sateen for a mask - and, as you can see from the photo - it worked. (Just ignore the cockroach in the Santa hat - I have way too much time on my hands.) This paint is a great fabric paint. It does not wash off after drying - or get sticky when ironed.
