I've been using this for a few years and it is a lifesaver but recently I have been getting bottles with chunks or little bits that look like white small fish food pieces (see photo). If you use it for a fountain you do not expect birds to drink from it is great!! I use it for a bird bath that they drink from all day and I don't know if those chunks will hurt the poor babies! I was so mad there were chunks I just kept throwing the bottles away and ordering more. This is why I knocked it down a star. My husband finally gave me a filter to try and it worked okay. The photo shows what I filered out of the bottle. There are still little bits but hopefully they won't hurt the birds. I dump my bird bath out every day and fill it back up and then add the product to keep from getting build up in the bath. It works great for preventing buildup. As you can see from the bluebird photo there is still debris in the bath but that is all thanks to the frequent use my bird bath gets. They leave that much food and poop in it daily and this product still prevents any unwanted buildup. Now if the birds would just stop pooping in it...

Very simple to use in your birdbath, helps alot with the algae buildup.

I was slightly disappointed with this product. With the days reaching near 90-100 degrees everyday in New York, the bacteria and algae are growing in my bird bath. I thought this would take care of them. I read on the label that it does not take care of those problems, but I did not read this until I had the product in my hand. It initially keeps the water clear as long as you clean the bird bath COMLETELY before use. I have to fill the bird bath 2-3 times a day for all my critters in the backyard because they are desperate for cool water during this hot weather. I supposed they wouldn't drink from the water if they thought the water was "funky".

I live in Texas where it's hot and humid and stuff likes to just grow in my fountains! This enzyme really keeps it under control and is non-toxic to the birds and bees and my dogs. My fountain did not develop any growth this past summer with regular use. Easy to use.

Really seems to help keep the fountain clean and the water flowing. The birds are in the fountains frequently.

This is my second time (second year) ordering this product. I get it because it's supposed to be better for the birds rather than using regular soap or cleaners. I'm not sure if it really works. How can you tell? It can take a lot of scrubbing and you're tempted to just get some dish soap... It is clear and looks like water. I add it to a dishpan of warm water when I clean the birdbaths. I guess it works fairly well.

Good cleaner for outdoor fountain, it really works!

Uneconomic. I've gone back to manual cleaning.

Very disappointed with product. Added to birdbath and 3 days later green algae . Put some in my Water feature and 3 days later smelt vile. Do not do what it says on the bottle.
