Doesn’t fit a BMW X3 without modification. The spacers included are too thick but a good quality strong tape can be used as a spacer. The little Allen bolts can’t then go all the way in which makes screwing on the base cover tricky. It can be made to work and it looks good. It seems to want to stay on

Completely disappointed lasted ten minutes before it came loose. Honestly expect better quality in the pound shop. Absolutely gutted I wasted this much money.

My original gear knob is heavy and has a threaded shaft to screw down over the stick and turns just the right amount of turns to sit on the correct position. This one is held in place by three grub screws and they wobble about in their drilled holes!The first problem is that the metal shroud over the base of the knob can’t be put on because the leather cover over the gear stick won’t go down far enough to get the new know on enough to tighten the grub screws – and this is essential to stop the grub screws winding out. And that’s the second problem and attests to the shabby quality of the build. One of the holes for the grub screw was too large and the grub screw fell right through the drilled hole! This would mean only two grub screws holding it in place and that’s not good enough.The plastic tubes are a laugh and instead of that, there should be threaded metal shafts that screw over the gear stick and the knob screws over that and be much more secure. This replacement gear knob gets 1 star. Avoid at all costs.
