Yes!
This is all my son wanted for Christmas so we set it up inside for winter, with a tarp under it. He does great surprisingly not getting it everywhere. But the toy is great, sturdy. I love the lid & the digger attached. The lid becomes an attachment with a ramp! Great buy for the money.

Great sandbox with lots of possibilities for play
What a great little sandbox! We recently purchased this for our son's 3rd birthday, and it's been a very solid investment! For a little guy obsessed with trucks and construction, it's a perfect match. He now has a "sand plant" that he works, and in the 2 months that we've owned it, it's easily gotten 75 hours of use! It's small. Don't expect several kids to get in it, it's not that large. This is a bonus for me personally, because he (with parents or friends) can gather around it and play, but not come away with sand in unmentionable places. But be warned if you're looking for one that kids get inside and move around, this isn't the one for you. I love that it has a lid, I'm secure in knowing that cats roaming the neighborhood won't borrow it. The fact that the lid also becomes part of the play area when off is fantastic in my mind, and truly raises the value. Be aware that it's not on hinges, it slides over slots as both the lid and when you attach it to become a ramp/road for the truck. All of the extra tools and the truck it comes with are a very nice bonus. The crane is so much fun for him (and me!) and I expect that he'll continue to play with this for a few years at least.

Rock quarry, with 2 drainage holes! My 4 kids love it.
Ours came with holes in the bottom of the storage cups, so apparently that issue has been fixed. We drilled a few holes in the bottom of the main part for drainage. We filled ours with 1 bag of pea gravel. It seems very sturdy-- we've picked it up and moved it a few times with the gravel in it. My biggest "helper" even dropped one end of it about a foot onto the concrete and it didn't crack. My 4 kids-- aged 24 months to almost 10-- love our "quarry". The youngest two--aged 24 months and 4.5 years--play in it every day and we've had it for a week so far. They all like playing on the lid play space more than I expected. The lid does get gravel stuck in the cracks when it's attached for play, which makes it hard to slide apart again in the evening, but I found that I can just flick them out with a spoon handle and then it's fine. I bought some dinosaur bones to hide in there, as requested by my 9- year- old. The built- in digger is great although it does make removing and replacing the lid a little tricky because it's slightly wider than the lid opening there. ( Maybe I have yet to figure out the trick to doing it better. UPDATE: The trick is to turn the digger to the side and then slide the lid into place). It's been rained on a couple times but stayed dry inside, although getting wet is not as much of a problem with pea gravel and drainage holes. The kids all love the toys that came with it and they use the ramp formed by the lid connected. Perfect size for our apartment space. The littles can fit inside (one at a time) and the biggers can play sensory- bin style. We're very happy with our purchase and the price we paid.

1 maybe 2 kids
This sandbox is definitely a great choice if you have 1 or maybe 2 children. I love all of the accessories and uses for the box. I also like being able to close it because of stray cats. It is minus 1 star for me simply because I personally think it’s rather small to be anything other than a solo experience.

Excellent indoor/ small outside sandbox!
We got this for a Christmas present for my son. We put about 25 lbs kinetic sand in it along with some smaller construction equipment toys. We planned to put it in the shop, but have actually left it in the house for now. The plastic is sturdy and well designed for this purpose. It is not overly large (not large enough to sit in and play), but is great for 1-4 small children playing with their hands. The lid removes completely and can be used to extend the play area with a ramp to drive the dump truck that comes with it. It also comes with the “digger” on the box itself, 2 construction workers (like the little people characters), 2 scoops, and a shovel. It may have come with more, but I’m not positive now. One thing to note is that the lid does not seal completely or “snap” in place. It securely sits on top and is sturdy, but would not keep bugs or small outside particles from coming in. A child is unlikely to be able to get the lid off unassisted, but there’s now way to shut it entirely. It says it will hold much more sand, but 25-40 lbs is probably all I would put in it so the child can actually play with toys inside the box. Larger boxes were much more expensive and less feasible for our needs, and smaller ones were more expensive actually. Great value overall.

This is winner!
My 2yo grandson loves his new sandbox. Played all day after Christmas and he didn’t want to stop! I originally got 50 lbs of actual sand (not silica) from Home Depot and will get 20 lbs more. But the 50 lbs seems like a good amount, though it holds 100 lbs. Lots of digging toys included, plus the excavator and dump truck. One thing that might improve this sandbox is put it on legs like a table so kids don’t have to kneel to play. But it’s great the way it is, according to my grandson. 😊

Great little sandbox
So when I ordered the sandbox, it was supposed to arrive in 5 days. It arrived within 2 days, and I was really excited for my boys (3 and 4) to play with it. It’s a little on the small side, but it’s ok for us because I chose to put it on the back porch so they could play in the shade. It seems to be pretty sturdy, rugged plastic, And it came with enough small toys for both if them to be happy. As my boys love all things trucks and diggers and any kind of sand or dirt, I’m certain they will get an amazing amount of playtime out of it this summer. I’m very pleased with this purchase!

Needs a lot of sand!
This sandbox is very durable but don’t let the description fool you! It takes 125 lbs of sand…not the 50 lbs stated in the description!
