Presta Ultra Polish (Chroma 1500) - 32oz

I have been looking for a product that I can use to restore / remove oxidation from sailboat decks without making the deck slippery or slick. This product, applied with a cutting pad, accomplishes exactly that: oxidation is removed, the deck gets a mirror finish, and it’s not slippery or slick. NOTE: A polishing pad does NOT result in a non-slippery deck, so application technique matters. I used a Griot’s garage variable speed random orbital polisher (6”) with an orange cutting pad to apply at speed setting 5.5-6 (about 1700 rpm). Apply in “small” areas (about 5 sq ft at a time), then wipe the residual product with a microfiber cloth. Excellent results! Took about 3 hours to do a full deck of a 20’ sailboat. Looks nearly new.

I have used this product for a few years now. It works great as a light polishing compound either by hand or using a buffer. I’ve used it several times on cars I have painted to get the paint buffed out. It’s easy to apply and also remove. It’s nice for removing bug splatter and road grime that hasnt come off after washing your vehicle.

This spring I finally got around to polishing the hull of our 23 ft Grady White Gulfstream. After reading a write up on an online forum, I purchased the Presta Ultra Cutting Crème, Chroma Ultra Polish, the corresponding wool buffing pad for each product, as well as, a Presta flexible foam backing plate. From the rub rail down to the bottom paint, I buffed the boat with a cheap Harbor Freight polisher in small sections and preceded around the boat hull, starting with the Ultra Cutting Crème, then the Chroma Ultra Polish, and finally I waxed it by hand with Collinite’s Fleetwax following all of the directions.Well, for someone who has never used a polisher, the results were AMAZING! These products brought such a shine back to the hull of the boat. Even my mother was impressed. Before the boat was put in the water it had to be transported over to a marina for some mechanical work, so I followed the boat hauler to the marina in my car. On the ride over there I was able to drive alongside the boat and I was amazed that I could see reflection of the car in the hull of the boat. That’s pretty good for a boat with a white hull, especially when the boat is from 1997! As per the online forum write up, he was correct in that Presta products don’t have “essential oils or silicones” in them to give you a false & premature shine, which will cause you to stop polishing before you’ve actually polished anything due to this false sense of shine that other brands have.If a novice like me can get these results, so can you!

I have used this polish on every used vehicle that I have bought from a 40 year old Mack truck to both foreign and domestic cars and trucks where the exterior has been neglected. In every case it restores the finish to a brilliant shine that lasts and all i do afterwards is wash the vehicle when it gets it dirty and give it a good coat of Mother's carnauba wax. This stuff is fantastic. Make sure you apply and remove it with a buffer.

This polish was recommended to me by an auto body expert. I wanted to try it on my new(used) travel trailer where the previous owners left the front sitting in the sun. It worked well but was hard to buff off once it dried. The job looks better but I am disheartened that the previous owners did this to this nice little trailer I have. The paint looks better but is oxidized badly and nothing can help that other than a completely new paint job- not going to happen! The trailer is only 5 years old.

Used this after buffing out oxidation and brought a mirror shine to my old boat
