While these are spendier than some other alpaca socks, I keep coming back to my "Toasty Toes" for softness, warmth, and durability. This is only the third time I've had to purchase a set of these socks, I'm not about to complain about the amount of wear and even abuse these socks can endure.The first time I realized I needed to replace a pair of these socks, I was almost unreasonably disappointed.… Until I realized that I'd been rotating through three different pairs of them almost every day for over two years!… Two years of almost daily wear in less-than-ideal conditions: damp footwear, loose footwear, coarse foodbeds, etc. Often more than one of those conditions simultaneously. The amount of abrasion and general wear would destroy most socks in half the time. In fact, most other alpaca socks I've tried are lucky to last even half as long.I'm hoping the company endures for many, many years so I don't have to search for a new source of comfy (nearly decadent) socks to keep my chronically chilly toes "Toasty"!!!

High quality socks but I prefer them thinner. Too hard to wear without changing your shoe size. The point of paying for alpaca socks is that they’re warm, relatively thin and very durable. These don’t equal the ones I’ve ordered in the past from the same company.

These are warm, thick, non-binding, and the toe seam is near-undetectable. I've only worn these for a few hours but I will update my review if my opinion changes.The inside is fairly soft, but not the kind of crazy-soft that makes you want to rub them on your face.They are truly non-binding!! I have fat calves and I ordered a medium (my shoe size is women's 8 US,) and I can pull them all the way up and be perfectly comfortable. Usually I have to fold down the tops of socks because they give my calves a muffin-top, even pricey brands that are otherwise designed well. The band around the top of the sock is a softer, stretchier weave than the rest of the sock, so it has enough elasticity to stay up but it doesn't squeeze at all.The way the toe seam and top band are designed make it clear that somebody has actually thought about the design of these socks and cares about how they wear. That is a rare thing these days! These are not features that make the product thumbnail more clickbaity but they put them in anyway.Note that these are quite thick so do consider if you want to buy them for wearing with shoes. I would be comfortable wearing these with shoes, but I usually buy shoes with room. If you buy your footwear snug these might become uncomfortable due to how thick they are. The thickness seems comparable to the thick Smartwool hiking socks-- much thicker than normal socks, but not as thick as skiing/snowboarding socks.

I always wore cotton socks and those cute fuzzy socks that are sold to keep my feet warm at night but during the night I would have to take them off because they made my feet hot and sweaty once they were warm. Not these! I slept like a baby! They were just right. My feet were warm but never overheated. Obviously, they breathe well. I recommend them highly for anyone that has cold feet. Also, they were so soft and fit well. Stayed up on my leg but not binding. I always thought wool socks would be scratchy but these are wonderfully soft.

These socks are warm, soft, comfortable, and luxurious. They are the ultimate in quality. Perfect to keep your feet warm in the winter when you take off your shoes. Well worth the price. A perfect gift. Be advised that due to the bulkiness of them, when wearing them, your feet will probably not fit in your shoes.

I bought 2 pairs this year for my brother who works outside and brother in law who's a hunter. They both gave rave reviews - "my feet were happy all day" and "so warm and soft". They are pricey but that's because they work as promised. Very giftable and worth the cost.

Warm, comfortable well made durable and they stay the same shape after multiple washings and lots of outdoor wear. Excellent quality!

I have found them to be far, far warmer than other 'warm' socks, such as Smartwool. Well worth spending the extra on these.
