SOG Flash AT Folding Pocket Knife-Ambidextrous Locking Design, One-Handed Open Emergency Knife with 3.45 Inch Cyro D2 Steel Blade-Garnet Red (11-18-07-57)

It says on the box, Designed in Seattle and Made in Taiwan. So far, I am enjoying this knife as an EDC. It is a bit tight to open, but it is solid with no wiggle. Over time, it seems to be opening easier. I would rather it be tight than loose, so I am good with this. As an EDC at the price, I don't feel bad abusing it which is why I bought it. Putting it through some minor paces such as cutting zip ties and cardboard, the finish still looks new and no signs of dulling. Having higher end knives, while they are pretty and are sometimes superior in quality, I had to second guess what I was using them for in an EDC situation. This one checks a lot of boxes, is durable, not think twice about lending it and can give it a beating. If it breaks or gets messed up, at the price, send it in for a warranty repair or buy a new one and not feel bad about it.

The spring assist is pretty strong, opening it is satisfying. You can see and hear the force it flys open with so hold it firmly. I have a medium grip so the extra groove in the handle makes for a firm grip. The blade is flawless. Altogether a solid build, this is the quality I’m used to SOG putting out. Also the red color looks a lot better in person.

I purchased this knife after years of using my SOG Trident Elite (which I love) and sadly noticed that it has been discontinued. I went out to the SOG website looking for a new everyday knife and loved the design and look of this knife. I absolutely love SOG's assisted tech and the color was just an added bonus. Hands down GREAT knife, worth every dollar. Will continue to buy and recommend SOG knives any day of the week!

I'd give this knife a 5 star, yet if you work excavation and are in trenches all day, the grit from the soils can get in the action spring that flips the blade out causing it to become hard to open. You have to open and close the blade a bunch to work out the granuals, doesn't sound pleasant to the ears. Maybe that would happen with any knife, yet haven't noticed an issue with other pocket knifes before. Overall, really like the knife otherwise for that. I just carry a DeWalt pocket knife during work hours now, and take the SOG everywhere else tho I wish I only had one all purpose knife for daily use.

This knife is super sharp. It feels great in the hand and is a perfect size in the pocket. I really like the open assist feature. This thing snaps open quick and with ease! This one is my fifth SOG pocket knife and my favorite thus far.

I likes everything but the plastic grip/handle which grew on me. Damm five-o took it and won't give it back and there was no violation of any laws. Nobody got poked.... what gives? When I bought mine it was 110 dollars also so.... someone owes me now lol.

I love collecting knives and this one got me goin. The sleek design and red frame make it beautiful. The lock is amazing and overal quality of this blade is phenomenal. It aint not 20 doller pocket knife but its not like it breaks the bank. You really get what you pay for here

It's a nice looking and feeling knife It does take some force to flick open.UPDATE: The knife action has loosened up and easier to open after some use.
