The height is maybe 11 inches. The appearance of the bag is okay and worth no more than the asking price. The bag is not the size advertised. I was hoping to carry my iPad Pro 12" in this bag, and had it been the 12.4"X11.5"x2.8 as advertised it would have been perfect. However, the bag actually only measures 11"x9.75"x2.25. So my iPad sticks out the top. An other issue I have is "This bag is not leather!" It's plastic stamped to look like leather with a fine micro suede on the inside to help with the illusion of leather.
