I have not used this in a survival situation (thankfully) but I have used them in my back yard. Everything seems to work so that’s good.

This is what it is. You are paying for the quality and durability you would expect from the price. It was purchased as a gift for a 11-year-old boy to use in his tree house. you get what you pay for. So if you want something small to see how it will be used as well as how your son will keep up with it then I would recommend this.
