It Really Does Work
I don't understand the reviews saying this is cheaply made or it doesn't work. I've used it twice, to wash two different cars and it worked as shown in the video I saw of it, and as described in the instructions. As for being cheaply made, what do you expect for $20 ? But it's really not cheaply made: The handle and other parts are made from high quality ABS plastic. The container that holds the soap solution is of a decent size and seems to be solid and not flimsy. The spray gun handle seems solidly made and has a good feel to it and doesn't feel cheap. While it's possible to make the various parts of the foam cannon from metal, that would quadruple the price and increase its weight. So small compromises have been made with its design to keep it low-cost but it's still very effective. Though most of it is made of ABS plastic, if it is taken care of it should continue working for a long long time. So far I am very pleased with it. It created a very decent foam from soap that is not specifically a foaming soap (Karsh soap). I would imagine with a soap that is designed specifically to foam it will work even better. The dial on the soap container allows setting the foaming level. Since I was not using soap designed to foam the dial seemed to work best at #5 position which is maximum foam. For settings #1 to #4 I didn't notice much foaming difference. The #0 position puts out clear water and is very useful because you don't have to take of the cannon and use a separate spray gun. Though that's what I prefer to do to free-up my movement around the vehicle and not accidentally mar the vehicle if I get in really close. However, nothing is perfect and there are some pros and cons: Pros: -Very easy to use -Inexpensive - rivals foam cannons costing 3 to 5 times in price. -Does not require a pressure/power washer -this is a big plus in my opinion. -Works with a typical garden hose and water from a spigot. -Ability to dial-in the foam level or switch to clear water is very useful and saves time. -Comes complete - no additional items required (except soap and a garden hose with water are need). -Worked quite well for me. -Did not leak at all. Cons: -It is made mostly of ABS plastic but it does require some care that it's not abused. -Fluid container should be a larger. Overall though, I think the Pros indicate a very cost effective product. If you do get this, I would suggest that you purchase some quick-connects, as I did, for attaching to your garden hose and the foam cannon to make connecting / disconnecting it easier. In addition, a shut-off valve can also be added to the end of the garden hose so you don't have to run all the way back to the spigot to turn off the water if you disconnect the foam cannon and attach a spray wand or spray gun. In terms of Durability I did not provide a rating. Time will tell how well it lasts at which point I will update this review. If you don't have a power/pressure washer and want to use a foam cannon with just your plain old garden hose this foam cannon sees to be excellent. Just be sure the pressure from your water spigot is at a good level to maximize the foaming and distance you can send the foam (or clear water). (If you're wondering about water pressure, 40 to 80 PSI is what is recommended for a garden hose spigot for home use.) Yes, I definitely would recommend it to a friend.

Not that good and not worth the price
I purchased this because of the price and I guess for the price it works okay. First off I have public water so my pressure is not to bad. This thing does not cover the car in foam like the pictures show but it does an adequate job. My next complaint is the foam nozzle does not lock into place, at first I had to break myself of the habit of grabbing the washer by the foam nozzle only to have it pop right out. My biggest complaint though, is the threads on the soap bottle are not good enough to support the weight of a full bottle if dropped. I had filled the bottle full of a mixture of foaming soap and had about one third of the car washed when i went to reconnect the spray nozzle back to the bottle and naturally with my hands being wet with soap on them I accidentally dropped the whole thing and the bottle popped right off spilling 90 percent of my soap mixture. I have a Green Works pressure washer and bought a foam sprayer to use with it and it puts this thing to shame with the quality of material, solid brass for starters, and guess what, it cost the same. I purchased this for those times when I don't feel like hooking up the pressure washer. UPDATE After using the foaming cannon for awhile I would give it minus 5 stars if I could I can no longer get the foaming nozzle to stay in the canister it just blows out on the ground and once again I dropped it because of wet soapy hands and it came apart spilling all the soap on the ground. I wouldnโt recommend this to my worst enemy itโs a piece of junk thatโs going in the garbage.

Effective for good soap coverage
The Ontel Carwash Cannon Foam Blaster is not going to do the work for you but it does what I hoped it would. I was looking for good coverage of the soap and it did that for me. Washed the car first. Coverage with the Blaster, let sit a few minutes, went over it quickly and lightly with a car wash brush and it gave me a better result than using a mitt and bucket. Tried the same procedure on a portion of the house siding that was looking pretty sad. Same result. Highly effective.

Works Well As A "Soap Dispenser"
I gave the Carwash Cannon as a gift for my son which he asked for. This is his review because Amazon wouldnโt let him review it under his account. I think that the term Foam Cannon is for use with a pressure washer and the term Foam Gun is for use with just a garden hose, so I will call it a Foam Gun. I wanted a Foam Gun, but the one I originally saw (a different brand) was over twice the price as the Carwash Cannon even though the other brand looked almost exactly the same as the Carwash Cannon except for the color. I didnโt feel that that the other brand was worth over twice the price which is why I didnโt buy it. First, anyone who knows anything about car washing is that you will not get your car clean without some โrubbingโ. That is like expecting your car to come clean when it rains. I wanted the Carwash Cannon as a โsoap dispenserโ which it worked well for me. I like the quick release connector for the Mixing Head which makes it easy to soap then disconnect to rinse. I would have given it 5 stars, but there are five things that I think could be improved upon like the Foam Nozzle should be twist-and lock (I think that it comes out too easily), the soap bottle could be โtexturedโ (It is hard to grab when wet), the extra Quick Connector should include the female end also (the included male end may not mate well with a different brand female end which I did not get yet), and the Hand Grip might be more durable if it is metal instead of plastic (even though I did not have any problems with it). Also, a little better documentation is needed about the screen and washer pieces. There is a screen/washer piece at the bottom of the Hand Grip and one washer piece in the Quick Connector on the side that attaches to the Mixing Head. There was another screen and washer piece in my box. Ontel told me that they are extras. I only tried the Carwash Cannon one โwayโ on two vehicles. Here is some info if you are interested. My soap of choice was Mothers California Gold Carnauba Wash & Wax. It has made for Foam Cannons and Foam Guns on the label. You probably donโt want to use dishwashing soap like some idiot on YouTube. Dishwashing soap is supposed to remove wax. I used the โ5 settingโ. I put the Mothers soap in the soap Bottle then added a little bit of warm water to help โdissolveโ the soap not shaking the mixture (just kind of โswirledโ the container in a circular motion) as in the instructions. Like I said before, I only used the Carwash Cannon once, so I donโt know if filling the soap container with warm water would produce less suds or not. I added soap with a little warm water as needed. Here is how I washed the vehicles. 1) I rinsed the vehicle first to remove loose first. 2) I did the vehicle in sections which were roof, front, back, left side and right side. 3) I sprayed the foam soap. I did it quickly because the soap container would empty quickly with soap just up to the โsoap levelโ. 4) After spraying the foam soap, I used a Chenille sponge to clean each section rinsing the sponge often in a bucket of clean water. I then disconnected the Mixing Head and rinsed the section with the Hand Grip. 5) I did the wheels last with a different Chenille sponge and the same method as washing the sections. I did the wheels last and used a different sponge because of brake dust. 6) I rinsed the whole vehicle so that the whole vehicle was wet and used my Toro Cordless Blower to dry the vehicle and help eliminate spots.

Meh
Really just a glorified spray nozzle. It does ok but I didnโt get great โfoamโ using double the indicated amount of a โfoamโ car wash form a well respected brand. It sprays suds but not even close to a true foam. Maybe if I wanted to use half a bottle of the soap. Iโll keep it for pre washing as it does a decent job of dispersing the soap suds over a large area and the tank will cover an entire car without refilling. It feels cheap. The handle sticks open and the whole thing is loosely goosey and leaks. Would probably be a great deal if it was under ten bucks but overpriced for what it does. If your looking for a true foam sprayer the keep looking.

I was impressed.
I was impressed. The spray throttle is junk, so I attached the one I currently have. It's the soap one uses. I used Maguire's car wash soap, which I have had for about six years. It did not say anything about foam spray. It worked beautifully. For the price of a car wash, I believe this will do the job well.

Subpar product with cheap build
If youโve ever dreamed of combining your garden hose with the riveting thrill of subpar foam, then this is the product for you! Letโs talk about the โrevolutionary foam blasting technologyโ โ if by revolutionary, you mean a semi-effective way to cover your car in a sad, thin mist of soap that resembles a dairy spill, then sure, letโs go with that. I attached this marvel of engineering to my hose, and Iโm still waiting for the โthick cleaning foamโ to appear. The foamโs about as thick as a tissue paper, so if you were hoping for a frothy white avalanche, prepare to be disappointed. The five spray settings? Absolutely groundbreaking. They range from โa gentle mistโ to โa light drizzleโ and culminate in โa slightly stronger drizzle.โ If youโre expecting the power of a pressure washer, you might want to temper your expectations. The only thing this blaster excels at is making sure your driveway gets a taste of soap, while your car remains steadfastly dirty. And letโs not forget about the build quality. The foam cannon is constructed from what I can only assume is the finest quality plastic, which feels about as sturdy as a disposable cup. Iโm actually in awe of its ability to flex, bend, and generally feel like it could break at any moment. The hose connector? Itโs made from the same indestructible plastic, so donโt expect any miracles if you decide to use it more than once. Cleaning your car with this? Well, you might get a decent workout with all the scrubbing youโll end up doing anyway. I tried using the water directly from the nozzle, and guess what? It was way stronger than the foam. So, if youโre looking to save money on car washes, just get a garden hose and save yourself the disappointment of this overpriced bubble machine.

Works like a charm
After ordering this item, I got a bit worried after reading some of the reviews here. Used it for the first time today and it worked like a charm. It connects and disconnects quickly and does not leak ant the cannister mounting point or at the hose attachment point. As for using alot of soap, there is a line on the cannister to which you fill it with soap and the rest with water - I used to put more soap than this when I used the two bucket method. The suds coverage is surprising. Very easy to use, suds the car up, wash with a wash mitt, disconnect the soap cannister and rinse. The only thing it won't do is clean your car by simply spraying the soap and spraying it off - but then you shouldn't really expect it to.

Missing Parts Twice
Came with missing parts twice. Each time, the missing part was different. The first time it was the soap water tank, the second time the connector to the hose. Returned.

Works relatively well!
Was looking for a foam cannon for my garden hose as I didn't have a pressure washer. This was the cheapest I could find locally, at half the cost of the USA branded ones. I thought, nothing to lose. If it didn't work I'll return it, but lo and behold, it does actually work! The build quality is good - brass fittings throughout and also came with a filter to ensure grime doesn't get into the hose and bottle. My water hose doesn't have great pressure, but nonetheless it still worked at setting #5 (the highest)! Having used it once, I'll try a more concentrated formula for my car shampoo. Only minor gripe is the water bottle is not big enough - was barely sufficient for my sedan. Probably won't be enough for a larger car.
