Champion Sports Rhino Playground Ball Set, 8.5"D -Two-Ply, Nylon Wound - Set of 6 Colors

Bought these for our church youth program, and was able to get SIX balls for $25 - the way the kids lose them, that's really a good idea for our church budget. Made well, colorful, and now in play in our yard! Come deflated, so have an air pump ready. UPDATE: After a few weeks of play, the covers are beginning to crack a bit here and there - will watch them, but they are still holding air well and the kids love them. UPDATE: These are short-timers. They last about a month in outdoor play. I will spend more next time and get a better ball.

You never know when a few extra kids will show up for backyard fun. These balls are well made and can be used in a variety of games. The price is right to have a few extras on hand.

So this variety pack of six 8.5 dodgeballs is exactly what you want when you think of the dodgeballs used in leagues or at a camp/school. They are well built with bright colors. They are the texture you expect when you think of dodgeballs and are very easy to inflate. It does NOT come with a pump and that is the only thing I would change about the product. Even if I had to pay a couple dollars more to include a pump, some of these balls, when gotten individually, are like 14 dollars (For some reason, different colored balls are different prices), so getting a set of 6, each with a unique color, for ~33 dollars is awesome and my interest in the product wouldn't change at all if it was 3 dollars more, while also including a pump. It's still getting a 5 star review because the product is not lacking anything or deficient in any way, I just think it could be IMPROVED by adding a pump with the balls.

I think I got the idea to use these as a party favor from someone else's review on here. But wow, what a great idea that was! My 8 year old son had a birthday party at an indoor gym in the Seattle area. I was considering making up standard goodie bags for the 23 children who attended. I didn't want to give the typical little toys that break within 2 minutes and then end up in the landfill or fill a bag with a bunch of sugary candy. These balls were my answer! I received them so quickly after placing my order for 4 sets. Awesome speedy delivery! The balls come flat so you must take some time to pump up each ball but it literally took a few minutes to pump each one. Then I took a big black Sharpie marker and I put my son's name, 8th birthday party and then the date and also wrote "thank you for coming!" on each ball. After the fun ended at the indoor gym and the party was about to end, I gave each guest a ball to take home. The children were thrilled. It's been 2 months and we still have a few balls at home that my kids play with regularly! I have 3 boys and they play HARD and these balls have held up wonderfully. The writing is still clearly seen on each ball too. I will admit that one of our balls is kind of slightly not round anymore but I think it's because my kids sit and stand on them while watching tv. These balls are a great buy when you purchase in bulk like this. I'm telling you, give these as a party favor! Your guests will love them!

I ordered these for a kickball tournament at our local church and they worked just as we hoped and expected. The only issue we ran into was that the balls were unusable the next season due to cracks along the outside of all the balls. I'm not sure if it's due to how we stored them (filled with air in a toy box in our storage room) or if it's the quality of the balls themselves. Otherwise, great purchase and we got our use out of them!

These are great for PE they do not hurt kids and kids are much more engaged especially the younger ages. still be wary with kids with glasses and can get a hit in the face that can be uncomfortable but for the most part these are great for games like dodgeball which let's be honest is still the kids favorite game. Not sure on durability mainly you just have to make sure you put them away when you're done playing do not let kids play with these unsupervised they are certainly not a playground ball because kids will start picking holes in them because they are foam.

I was excited when I saw the price of this product. Great price!!!! Well.... When I received them my kids had the neighbor blow them up and they weren't overblown (which I was worried would happen) They played with them for a couple of days and I started noticing them laying around deflated. The kids said that while they played with them in the drive way the stones were putting holes in them. This is normal gravel that people put in their drive ways. Since the balls kept popping I went to a local sporting goods store and bought 2 of the name brand four square kick balls and after almost a week of hard core kicking and bouncing in the drive way the balls have no punctures. Very disappointed in the quality.

I purchased the "Champion Sports 8.5 Inch Playground Ball Set" for dodgeball games to be used by adults of varying age and athletic ability. This set is perfect; durable, good quality and excellent price. The set was shipped quickly and was well packaged. Once received, I unfolded the balls and inflated them. Due to folding during shipping the balls did have some bumps during inflation, but after a few minutes they evened out into a smooth round shape. No issues with oval shapes or bumps. This set is just the right set for dodgeball--the ribbed texture assists with catching and size allows for healthy throws. How hard or soft the balls are can be controlled by how much the balls are inflated. This set's color variation ended up being extremely helpful, as we can quickly able identify "lost" balls because we know which color is missing and then search for it. Additionally, the picture does not do the balls justice. The colors are very bright and vibrant, making them easy to spot. I highly recommend this product.

Las pelotas venía aparentemente bien, ya cuando las inflé se inflaron disparejas, a una le creció por un lado otra bola y tuve que sacarle aire. Al momento de rebotar se van hacia otro lado por lo mismo. Incluso, una que ni siquiera habia inflado tanto tronó en ese mismo rato. No las recomiendo para nada! These balls looked perfectly fine, when I started to inflate things went wrong. All of them grew a bump, one had the bump so big I had to deflate it to a smaller yet bounce-able size. One of the balls popped in that same day and it wasn't inflated much. I do NOT recomend these.
