Judging over 30 years...
I've been juggling and going to juggling conventions for nearly 30 years. I usually buy name brand professional gear (dube) and I favor the "bean bag" style balls that are filled with millet seed. I was ready to try something new, replace some of my aging juggling equipment, without breaking the bank. This set is more firm, but gives when squeezed, and reminds me of what a stage juggling ball looks and feels like. It's some type of plastic or rubber, and has a matte finish. It is grippy, not slippery. The size is ideal for the average adult palm size (2.5" is a standard juggling ball size). The weight is nice... light, but heavy enough to land in your hand and not bounce off like a tennis ball might. I like that these, unlike the bean bag style, could be washed. I also love the 3 colors... it's visually fun for me, but also it's great for beginners because you can differentiate between the various balls as you learn a standard cascade and then get into other juggling patterns. If you're worried about the balls getting away from you as you learn to juggle, maybe go with a hacky-sack style ball so they thud and stay put exactly where dropped. But if you can get over that these balls will roll away from you a bit, try them out. Juggling is a workout anyway, what's a few extra steps??!!THIS IS A FANTASTIC VALUE. THESE ARE A GREAT OPTION FOR BEGINNERS. I highly recommend these. I myself will probably purchase a couple more sets.

Best juggling ball
I love These juggling balls because Because unlike the More expensive stitched ones they are perfectly round And roll perfectly off your fingertips. Have a great feel. I purchased numerous pairs as gifts for friends.

Fantastic juggling balls, with some work
I ordered a set of these about a year ago when I first started learning to juggle. At first, they were too bouncy and ended up not being a great set to start with. Six months ago I altered these and now they are one of my everyday sets. I drilled a small hole in each ball, filled with sand to approx. 100 grams, used color coordinated hot glue to fill the hole and now I have my own, homemade "Russian" filled juggling balls. They have a very slight wobble but are nice. I still have a set of unchanged balls which are more fun now that my skill has improved. As a side note, these balls are NOT 3 inches diameter, they are 2.5 inches. I will be buying more and I think that they are a great set of juggling balls, altered or as is.

Great value, but too big
These are nice juggling balls for the price (very reasonable). They have good feel and grip, they are a little on the light side, but they have good balance. These balls don't bounce much, but they do roll away (hey, they are round). I would highly recommend these to an adult that wanted to learn to juggle, or that wanted some larger and highly visible juggling balls for showing off to friends once they have some juggling chops.I am deducting one star because these juggling balls are a little too big for beginners, women with smaller hands and children. Also because they would be incredible for intermediate jugglers (like me) if they were a little smaller because for the price they are a great way to have a whole pile of balls for juggling numbers (4, 5, 6!). They are still a good juggling ball, but at a full 3" they are difficult to manage in greater numbers.I know that the size is disclosed on the description (I anticipate at least one comment to inform me of this fact), but it is difficult to know how well an object will juggle based on the size indication alone with no point of reference. For what it is worth, I will try to give some reference here. Three inches is about the size of a baseball, larger than a tennis ball, and at the large end of the scale for high-end (expensive) juggling props. Typically, a three inch ball would be considered a "large" size in a juggling prop catalog or on a website that specializes in professional or better quality props. All that being said, I stand my a four star rating. The balls juggle well and they are a great value, but you really can't beat the feel of the more expensive stage balls that are available. I think their best use is as a starting set for an adult, or as performance or show props for a casual juggler that has his patterns down after relentless practice with beanbags or smaller props. Also. the size is less than ideal if they were trying to create a cost effective, universal starter set.UPDATE - 10/2016: I am still using these and they have held up really well. I have to admit that I have started using lacrosse balls for practice more than these. Lacrosse balls are really affordable, bounce, a lot, and are a better size (smaller than these). Of course, they are heavier, roll all over the place, and bounce around. not great for indoor juggling in close quarters unless you want to practice for endurance and strength with patterns that don't lead to a lot of drops. Not ideal for working on new moves. Anyway, 4-star for these balls, but check out lacrosse balls too if you like to practice outside or want something heavy and smaller than these.

Quality is fine, but size incorrect
The add states that these balls are 3 inches, but they are actually 2.75 inches. I needed the larger size.

too hard
A little too large and hard so they bounce when they should not.

Good but beanbags would be better for a beginner
I used these to learn to juggle. Prior to last week I was practicing in my house and really struggled. Then I started practicing outdoors improved much faster. My max was ten catches on Monday. By Friday I was up to 100 catches. 107 I believe. Compared to the Zeekio beginner balls I just bought, these are easier for me to see and catch. I practiced with the Zeekio balls all week and didn't make much progress. I did manage to get 125 catches today but I'm going to switch back to these for outdoor juggling and maybe use the Zeekio indoors, just because they don't roll as much.
