Advanced Style: Older & Wiser

I have the first book also. Absolutely love them both!The main thing is that I have been missing people like this and here they are!These are just like the women (and men) I grew up around! Self-sufficient, very smart, elegant, lovely personality, well traveled. And yes, eccentric.I wouldn't say I'd dress the way several of them do but I would be friends with all of them!We need more people like this! Especially nowadays. What "joie de vivre"!I was ecstatic when at some point (on the DVD Advanced Style) Miss Ilona said:-I came into my own about ten, thirteen years ago". This is a lady who was 93 years old when she said that!!PLEASE, do yourself a favor and get this book, get the DVD and get the first book! They are all available here at Amazon. Just looking at the books will put a smile on your face!Give as gifts!

I appreciate Ari's creativity and his willingness to allow his participants to express their inner selves. This book did not exceed my expectations though. The first book " Advanced Style" was wonderful and the clothes and jewelry were exceptional ....But who am I, the individuals in your books are expressing who they are by their own standards and on their own terms. For that, I am grateful for their courage not to allow others opinions matter or to stop them. That endorses and validates me to be creative and to do my own thing.......... Thank you Ari........I am anxiously awaiting your next creative work on age and fashion....

Awesome book. I would recommend it to anyone who is a little older,but young inside.

Loved the photos of older women in colorful clothing...being true to their personalities. I have been experimenting with my wardrobe pieces and accessories. Complete strangers have commented while I am out shopping after they hear my age that I look 20 years younger in my new style duds!

This author and photographer has wisely chosen a little-known aspect of our society, Older, Wiser, and Very Stylish Women. Actually, one of them is a friend of mine who lives her Ageist Activism every day. I won't tell you which page she is on, but I plan on getting her autograph on it. You will enjoy to audacity, style, and chutzpah of these ladies and some of their men.

LOVE this book! After viewing a copy of a friends, I ordered one for myself - and after reading it ordered TWO more as gifts for others! The pictures are intriguing and beautiful, and the firsthand interviews and philosophies are EXCEPTIONAL and inspiring! I will enjoy and re-read this book many times for inspiration!

I LOVE this book and will give it as a gift. It has beautiful photos of daring and brave over 50 ( most over 65) men and women in fabulous clothing. That sounds superficial but the beauty of the book is that it is not! A great message for young and old alike: you are valuable and fabulous as you grow older and can even experience more freedom and fun. Bravo!

The photos are in desperate need of curation. While I am sure these are all lovely people, many, if not most, are not wearing stylish clothes. The models are always positioned the same as if an armature took them. The stories are mostly interesting but again an editor could have made this a great project.

Fabulous book. Best coffee table book ever. Amazing characters with even more amazing photography. Love it.
