Heater Wouldn’t light, replaced with this and fired right up. The old one had a lot of carbon build up on igniter ends. Probably could of just used some light sandpaper to clean the carbon off and re-installed but for the low price might as well just buy new and not mess with it.

Was a perfect replacement and fit.

Installed in my RV Suburban 10 Gal Water Heater.. Easy install...

I had started shopping new 6 gallon water heaters for my Chinook RV. About $500 when I decided to give this a shot. The ignitor was different, the way it mounted and the direction the prongs pointed (these were up or down, the old one sideways) but after a lot of Macgyvering (a good 30 minutes worth), I got it to mount, and it fired right up. $14 vs. $500. Pretty good deal.

The rv hot water tank wasn’t lighting properly. Every now and then there was a loud explosion outside of our water tank. It was setting off car alarms and giving our poor fur baby diarrhea. I did the diagnosis from a Youtube video and found that the igniter was getting power but no spark. Gas was accumulating inside and outside the heater. I replaced the stock unit and it solved the problem. Buy this first when your hot water tank gets finicky. You might save a lot of money at the rv repair shop. Will be getting a spare.
