I suppose this could be open to interpretation. First, this unit is described as a heavy base metal.. not. The base is even painted on the bottom to look like metal but it's plastic resin. The only metal on the entire thing is the small piece used to hold the bearing in, (seen in my photo) ..I took "rough" to mean, as in most banding wheels, it is textured to help hold your wares on it when in use. I had no idea it mean, shoddy paint job. The base is even painted yellow to look like a commercial product! It is not metal.Additionally, the bearing(s) could not be place in correctly. It wobbles on ever rotation. Can't use it.Poor workmanship.

Use for hand built pottery, the perfect well price turn table. Easy clean up and durable.

Very very cheap rubber molded parts. For 10$ more get on of the aluminum ones. I know going into it that it was going to be cheaply made but didn’t expect it to be so poorly made. this is unusable for most things you would want to use it for. If you’re looking at this one really consider doing yourself a favor and get the aluminum style one. You will be so much happier with it

Cheap paint job, way to light. When turning the base it wobbles and no where close to level, ☹️Not what I was expecting?

Unfortunately this product did not meet my expectations. The surface wheel was uneven, so when you would spin it, it wobbled. Unable to use it to make pottery. Had to return it.
