Easy installation and good value for the money.
I used this access panel to cover a switch that was no longer being used. Its a little thin and the plastic is very shinny. Not an ideal finish for a livingroom application, but it does the job. Easy to install and great value for the money.

Does what it needs to do if you don't need regular access
The product quality is easily represented by its price. I had bought the 8x8 one about two years ago and this time, I bought the 6x6. The access panel is something that we only need to use twice a year to turn the water off before it gets cold and turn it back on for spring. Because it's used so infrequently, I have defaulted to purchasing it again. I already knew it was something that would only stand up if used gently and occasionally - anyone who needs regular access to it should buy something much studier. Although it was not an issue with the 8x8 one I bought previously, I had an issue with the 6x6 bought this time as the door wouldn't open because the poorly aligned plastic door/frame would "catch" when trying to swing the door open. I would have to forcefully open it (thus hearing a crack) each time. This worries me as I know it'll only be a matter of time before the tiny piece holding the door to the frame will snap. I bought this only as a means of access to an electrical junction box to avoid drywalling over it for code requirement. It'll likely be opened once every few years, if that (or ever). I'm not pleased with the product, although it does what it needs to do minimally and because I know the specific usage requirements for my purchase.

Only good for infrequent use as quite flimsy
There aren't many options for well designed 6"x6" access panels that aren't industrial looking in a home. I purchased this as it looks less like the screw on electrical panel covers. However, I would not buy this for an access location that is used regularly as the hinging is weak and will likely wear out with use as it only has little plastic pins (prongs?) on the top and bottom of the door that pop out even with a little movement from screwing the base plate on the wall. It suits my purpose (access to a tele-post), but I'd look for a sturdier option if it was something I accessed on occasion or frequently.

Clean, quick access and easy to install.
like: 6"x6" access door fits over 5" diameter drywall opening for downpipe drain access. Easy to install. Door swings open, so need for tools to remove the cover. It is paintable.dislike: comes with 4 1" wood screws. Would have preferred 3/4" drywall screws. Screws supplied sticks through 3/4" drywall. Be careful reaching in behind as the screws can poke you.All in all, this product serves it purpose. Looks clean and tidy. Covers the hole in the wall. Gives an easy access to the drain. Well priced and shipping service was terrific. Got it the next day.

Unique item, haven’t seen this elsewhere
I used 2 of these. One was to cover a gas shut off valve for fireplace and second one covers a drain clean out in a wall. Both need to be easily accessible in case of emergencies, but I didn’t want to just leave holes in the wall. Only other types of covers I’ve seen at the big box hardware stores are either panels that needs to be screwed in place (which would take too long to remove in an emergency) or plates held in place by magnets which look nice but are too costly for the given application. The swing open door is a little flimsy and can come off fairly easily but frankly I don’t ever expect to be using it regularly. It’s only ever going to get used in case of emergency (hopefully never!).If you’ve going to place it in a situation where it’s going to be swung open regularly, you might get frustrated with this one, you may need something with a sturdier hinge
