Coconut Oil for Dogs Alpha Pet Zone, Treatment for Itchy Skin, Dry Elbows, Paws and Nose 32 oz

I have 2 mixed breed (rescued) dogs and I feed them high quality, limited ingredient, grain-free food along with salmon oil. One of my dogs (Colt) has always had dry, itchy skin and even with all I do to relieve his scratching, nothing completely resolved the dryness. I've read several articles on the benefits of coconut oil and figured I'd give it a try. I just finished my 1st jar last week and I am very impressed by the changes I've seen... Colt can finally relax and not be bothered with the irritation of scratching all the time. His fur looks healthier and has a nice shine to it; so does my other dog. Both of my dogs LOVE eating it off a spoon every evening and I rub it on Colt's body a couple times a week. It has been such a relief to see the changes in Colt in just the past month that he's been on it. The only downside for me is the price, but I'm willing to pay extra for the piece of mind in knowing I'm giving my dogs a high quality product. I've only been using this for 3 days and already notice a difference. My cat will just eat it straight off the spoon or my finger, he loves it so much. My dog wasn't so sure about the chunks of it when I mixed it into her food, but she loves it when I just smear it on the side of her bowl and licks it right up. Her coat already seems softer and she hasn't been scratching nearly as much from dry skin. I have been putting it on a hot spot she has on her belly from scratching and it seems to be healing, but time will tell. I bought the double pack and think it will last about a month. I will probably just switch to organic coconut oil from the grocery store after that, since it is about half the price and I don't think there's any difference.

Easy to use. Probably should refrigerate after opening. Dogs love it.

I have a couple cattle dogs that were having dry and itchy skin issues, and their coats were not healthy looking. I make sure to treat for fleas, ticks, and worms, and even changed their food. I ordered this coconut oil and started giving it to them on their dog food. It has done a great job with their skin and their coats are back to being shiny and healthy looking. They love the taste, and can't wait for me to add it to their food at night!!
