Very adjustable **Q: Would this fit a sun-dolphin journey SS?** A: It is adjustable to fit any kayak with two built in rod holders. **Q: What is the recommended maximum thrust?** A: I have a 55lbs thrust Minn Kota on a H12 Ascend kayak. I went up to 4 out of 5 speed. I figured on 4th speed it still withstand the torque and all the pressure the motor exert on the holder mechanism. I did not try to subject the holder to the maximum capacity of the motor but i am sure it will take it without flexing.
