Very good pants! No break in, good pocket system, excellent waist design, but watch inseam length
Got a set of these to replace my TRU-SPEC 24-7 Pants that I've worn for a few years. I'll start with the "bad". The 24-7 Ascent seem to run about 2 inches longer than the previous 24-7 pants. I previously had 24-7's in 30 and 32 inseam lengths, and I purchased the 24-7's in 32 inseam. They were 2" longer than my 32's in the 24-7's. I ordered Ascent's in 30" inseam, and they were right at the length of my 32" previous 24-7's. I was able to return my longer Ascent's without issue. The Ascents feature the same waist system as the old 24-7 which is good for a lot of up and down work or for IWB. The material of the Ascent is a softer feel than the standard 24-7's. The old 24-7's were almost a little "coarse" in their feel for some time and many washings. The rear pockets on the previous 24-7's had a tendency to catch on things getting in and out of a van for me. The pockets on the Ascent's are inside, and they have a nicer appearance as a result. Haven't gotten hooked on anything. The pocket on the outside of the cargo pocket on the standard 24-7s was good. I would carry two cell phones, one on each side. Would not hold a larger phone as the size was limited, and the flap would only just cover some phones. The Ascent pocket that I use for this is inside the back of the cargo pocket, if that makes sense. That pocket is larger, and can hold a larger phone (maybe I'll upgrade). There is no flap to cover that pocket, but I haven't found that I needed anything to secure my phones in place as the material that makes up the cargo pocket and the flap seem to seal this up very well. This new material on the Ascent is a little more stretchy. It is very comfortable, hasn't needed any break-in at all. Even with the stretchiness, I haven't found it to be a problem in hot weather with it sticking too much to skin and pulling the pants around too much.Over all, I think this is an excellent set of pants, and I will replace my previous 24-7's with the 24-7 Ascent as they wear out (which will take time as they have given me good service).

Excellent Quality
Comfortable fit with expandable waist. The pocket flaps don't curl upwards after a wash. The pocket on the thighs have a place for a full size cellphone without having to open the flap. They're a little pricey but worth the money.

Excellent but order longer length so they don't flop around your ankles
I usually wear size 36" W x 32" L, but in Tru-Spec 24/7 pants I always order 36" W x 34" L, because the extra 2" length is taken up by the fine thinner pant material folding around the ankles in a manner that looks good. If I don't do this, then the length may be true, but my pant legs flop around my ankles when I walk because the pant material is very nice, fine thin ripstop. I have found through humiliating trial and error that the best way to eliminate this "pants flop" is to go one size longer in length. Your pants will technically be too long, but they will fit better around your ankles because you have more length to work with. They won't flop around your ankles when you walk, which happens when you don't have enough length, even though that length may be true. It's the nice material, which billows more easily than similar pants by other makers who use stiffer cheaper material. Excellent pants, by the way, highly recommended -- very comfy, big cargo pockets, and green goes well with many colors. (Also, wait for them to go on sale, because the full price is a little steep.)

Worth it. There's a flaw though...
Let me start by saying I really enjoy wearing these! I am a lifelong blue jeans guy but these are comfortable, durable, and amazingly functional. The easy fit waist feels like I'm wearing my comfy pants even when they are belted up. The pockets are velcro, so they are a little noisy to open but then again I'm not sneaking up on bad guys anymore. I really can't say enough about the concealed cell phone pocket behind the main cargo leg pocket. It fits my Xperia Z3 with its case, and when I take my case off it still keeps it secure inside the pocket. Absolutely the best pants for long distance driving because of that pocket (and easy fit waist while I'm gorging on road food). The reason for the 4/5 star review though was irksome but easily solved. The snap buckle tore out within the first few wears, probably because for years I only used the button on my jeans. I tend to pull up and out instead of just outwards. I thought about returning the pants but figured I could repair them myself. A super cheap snap kit from a certain supercenter, a quick online tutorial, and I was back in business. The snap clasp I added has not torn out since so my pants are fantastic now. I will definitely be buying another pair, though I will upsize the waist line. Even the easy fit elastic only goes so far after enough road food!Bottom line is these pants are very nice, comfortable, and functional. The original snap clasp tore out and even though it was an easy fix it was still a manufacturing error, so 4/5. The cost is comparable to buying a nice pair of jeans from a department store. Still I look forward to whenever these come up in my pants rotation!

Love these pants
Excellent quality. Very comfortable and lightweight. They are tough and hold up to everyday use. I have several pairs of these pants. I used them as work pants and they are great for hiking and every day use. They breath well and good for hot weather.
