Great clock!
When my old (like really, really old - like from the '80's!) clock's alarm setting switch stopped working, I wanted to find a similar clock. I didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. I was looking for a plain, single alarm clock that I could plug in, set the alarm, and that was that. But I couldn't find a clock like that. Everything had all this stuff on it I wouldn't use. I didn't need a radio, or the weather, or any of the other myriad things clocks seem to have these days. Then I had a thought. Maybe instead of waking up to an alarm, I could wake up to birds or something. So I began searching for that and found this clock. I liked that this clock didn't have a radio, or the weather on it, but it did have several different options for alarm sounds.Another thing I liked, but ended up not using, is that it has several options for white noise to fall asleep to. I normally use my radio for that. I ended up continuing to use my radio as I liked it better than the noises the clock offered.I wasn't too sure about the clock display, but once received I liked it. It was larger and easier to see than my old clock's display.Another think I really like about this clock is that I can dim or brighten the display. I dim it at night and brighten it in the morning. I couldn't do that with my old clock. It had a pretty dim display. This clock also offers six different alarm sounds. Birds is one of them. There's also a flute, which is the one I like, a piano, a traditional alarm clock sound (not digital but the kind with the two bells on top), a watch alarm sound, and one more I don't remember.I originally didn't want a clock with dual alarms and admittedly I've only used this feature once, but it's nice to have when you need it. Before I would have had to re-set my alarm. Now I don't have to if I need to wake up twice. Also, you can adjust the volume on this clock. I couldn't do that with my old one. It's also a nice size - not too big and not too small. It looks nice sitting next to my bed.I'm very pleased with this clock and happy I bought it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs an alarm clock, and wants a digital one that's simple to use and doesn't have a ton of extra stuff on it. If your old clock is a basic one from way back when, I think you'll love this clock. It's a nice upgrade.

Love this simple Alarm Clock / Sound Machine!
In my effort to get the phone out of my bedroom, I've been searching for something for alarms and sound machine. I tried a Philips with light that incrementally gets stronger to wake and it was a no go - difficult to set up, the light would never have woken mebecause light too low, sounds were bad, seemed cheaply made ... returned. So after searching for a very long time, I tried this one. The footprint is small, so fits easily on my nightstand and would be easy to take with me for travel. It's not a pretty device like some others I thought about, but it meets my needs perfectly. I chose the clock face with red digital numbers so as not to have light bothering me while trying to sleep. You can dim the clock's readout to no light, I have it on medium and when I turn the front to the side, there is no visible light and i only have to turn it towards me to see time if I want. I'm not sure if the white numbered. clocks would be good as well, maybe another reviewer could speak to that, but I do know that red light doesn't interfere with melatonin and sleep. Would have preferred a white housing with red clock face, Suggestion for Seller. Super easy to setup, has a buttons to turn sound up or down, two alarms available, snooze button which i think you can adjust the duration, and the sound machine feature with a sleep button. The sound I chose turned out to be similar to one I was using on my phone, the Brown Noise. It sounds like it has a little rhythmic heartbeat to it perhaps, not as distinct as the Youtube video I was used to, or maybe it's just me, but at any rate, I like it. I do also sleep with wax earplugs by Quies and between the sound machine feature and plugs, I sleep undisturbed. There are other sound choices for the sound machine. There is a slight noise as the sound loops if you're sensitive to that, but it doesn't bother me. I chose the Flute with Birds alarm sound and it's pleasant while still being able to wake me even with earplugs. The clock readout, while digital and not pretty, is large so I don't need glasses to see it. For the price, ease of setup, easy controls, pleasant alarm sounds, plus a decent sound machine it checks all my boxes and is a good value. I hope this helps with choosing, took me a very long time to find something that works for a light sleeper like me!

12 sounds, 2 alarms, Continous background noise if desired, fully dimmable screen
So I wanted a white noise generator that would be loud enough to drown out background noise when travelling as well as a dimmable screen so I am not blasted in the face. This works great.1) It is small so easily portable.2) The LED screen is 100% dimmable using a roller wheel from super bright to OFF and everything in-between.3) Speakers are loud enough. The right speaker plays the background noise, left for alarms. Not as good as the 10W Logitech Multimedia Speaker Z50 I used before plugged into my phone but good enough and smaller and does not need my phone.4) 12 background sounds are ok. Some have a very artificial sound but others are ok. I just use the #5 brown noise and it works well.5) Battery backup for power outages (have not tested)6) Totally user friendly labels on all buttons that are self explanatory without a manual! It is actually very easy to program all settings!Great little clock.

Great little alarm clock
Finally found an alarm clock with most features I was looking for, most importantly being able to have full control over the screen dimmer, literally being able to dim it till you can't even see it, even at night. Battery backup is awesome and as long as you read the (very quick and easy to understand) manual, its quite simple to use. Weekend + weekday separate alarms are a great feature. Sound adjustment for alarms is great too, can set it up just right - this is really a nice peaceful alarm clock to wake up to instead of a phone buzzer or dinger. This clock doesn't support waking up to FM/AM radio, which to me is fine, because I'd rather have peaceful noises or something then some sudden radio blabber.People saying it's dinky & too small? It's a bed/desk side alarm clock, do you need a full wall clock beside you while you sleep lol? Are your hands/fingers like 2ft wide? The size and button sizes are pretty much perfect. The only thing I can say on that though is if you're buying this clock for an elderly individual who is mainly tech challenged, then there may be juuusstt enough going on to make it confusing. Two things that could make this product better:1: Make the sleep timer white noise sounds also be usable as the alarm wake up sounds, slightly disappointing that the alarm sound choices are limited to 6 when the white noise ones are like 12.2: USB power out for "charging your phone" would be awesome if it was 2Amp output, not 1amp, not a big deal though.

Faulty so returned
Fault so returned. The time would keep resetting all the time. This happened whether on mains power or on battery. Amazon returns are good though so cannot fault that. This is a very nice looking alarm clock though. The brightness is adjustable and you can change the colours on the screen. Although the range of colours is limited.Be aware, the range of sounds available for background noise and for the alarm are different. Check carefully which is which before buying. I was lucky that the background sounds covered the ones I wanted and the alarm sounds suited me. However, I can imagined some people may want to have some of the background sounds as an alarm. The device also does not have an increasing volume mechanism for the alarm. This would be useful to wake some people gently, instead of having a fixed volume.

Didn't last! Spolit within a week of deliver
Love the intial use of the alarm. Easy to set and nice tones for waking up. However, it spoilt within a week of using! Extremely disappointed with the quality.

Brilliant little device
This is a very clever little unit, easy to set up and use. The only thing I didn’t like was that the charger plug does not fit Australian power points, so had to use another one.
