I have found my vise!
Been looking for a long time. Tried most major brands. Love this vise. Thinner,powerful jaws. Parachute attachment extremely useful. Bobbin holder is very intelligent design. Avoids traffic jam with bobbin. Haven't tried alternate jaws yet. But I will. Material holder works very well. Yes, I also wish the base were a little heavier.But the tool holder and built in wells are extremely helpful. I have found my vise.

Very good material quality and manufacture.
With over 30 years tying with a Regal (which is still going strong) I have always wanted to try a rotary. As a retired engineer I appreciate good design and materials. The fit and finish is impeccable. It is a very busy vise with all the moving parts and attachments but after a while everything sort of falls into place. Is it worth the money...the jury is still out. Once I give tube flies (never tied those before) a try I may decide it is worth the wad of cash. To me it is mostly exotic and very well engineered/built. Never thought I would own an Italian vise but it is on my table and it is impressive to use. Bottom line is that it holds hooks well (albeit requires effort to get it done vs the simple Regal), rotates, and with the transforming attachments can tie anything you desire. Not recommended for a beginner. Learn on something simple, then try out the Ferrari.

as a rotory vise it is not well balanced
overall its good quality vise its east to change heads, storage in the base is nice. I would rather have a c-clamp option. Materials and workmanship is very good.
