It contains an array of supplies from paint and pencils to pads of paper. I am interested in becoming an artist. This requires lots of practice. I don't want to be using top-of-the-line materials or supplies for my practice sessions. I want to save my best materials for finished projects. This set allows me to do this and explore other things, (like acrylics and pastels, that I've never tried before) without the deep investment. Also, this set comes in a very nice, well-made box with built in easel. Once these supplies have been used up, I can convert this box to an outdoor (plein aire) travel kit as it comes with a very nice attached handle. My only complaint is that the box isn't sealed with a varnish or formica veneer.
