Review: Best budget toner I've tried - I recently went back to bleaching my hair .(best decision I've made since the beginning of the pandemic - I love fun colors, but blonde looks good on me. I also chopped all my hair off, so whether I'm going through a phase or just manic? Who knows.) Point is, I wanted something to make it look nice and ... not yellow. I don't have money to go spend at a salon. It's extremely expensive to get your hair bleached by a professional - I have just enough money to buy box bleach and make questionable decisions. This does the job - for toning that is, does nothing for the questionable decisions - and leaves my hair looking blonde, not bronze. I will say that I do apply it differently than many people might. I have fine, thick hair. And while I did lob it off into a pixie cut thanks to Georgia having the temperatures of the Devil's nether regions, I'd still like to keep what little of it I have looking nice and fresh - not fried. This shampoo isn't exactly moisturizing or softening. It's a shampoo carrying a coloring agent. So.. I treat it as such. Don't be surprised by how dark the color is. I was at first, and only used it in the shower for about 5 minutes. It didn't do much for me. I came out looking much the same. I want to clarify once again, these are the decisions I make in applying this product - this isn't a recommendation. But it sure as hell works for me. 1) Starting with dry hair, I plop this bad bitch on with some gloves on. DON'T FORGET THE GLOVES. It will stain your hands - but not the rest of your body. My biologist mother would probably have something to say about it being the way your hand skin is different from the skin on the rest of your body. Science and I are casual lovers. 2) I leave it on for anywhere from 25-40 minutes. It really depends on if I forget to set the timer or not. I usually forget to set the timer. I'm typing this review while still forgetting to set the timer - yes, I have it on right now, and am continuing to choose writing this instead of rubbing my two braincells together. Don't be like me. 3) Shower time! Rinse it all out. You may notice your hair feels a bit dry - once again, this isn't a moisturizing shampoo. It's less than $20 on desertcart, don't get your hopes up. Instead, go in with a moisturizing mask. My hair needs some serious TLC, and the best moisturizer I've found for myself is Shea Moisture's Purple Rice Water Strength & Color Care Masque. I leave that and my skincare mask on for about 5 minutes while i wash my body, shave whatever I feel up to shaving that day, you know the deal. At least I assume it's 5 minutes. You know by now my track record with timers. 4) Rinse that equally bad bitch out. Your hair will feel much much softer. I add this step now for my wonder bread cousins. Our hair can look oily as hell if we just moisturize it - it probably doesn't know how to be treated right because we were raised on 3 in 1 bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. Forgive it. Be patient with it. Go in with a good quality moisturizing shampoo. I use my Function of Beauty shampoo, and then follow that slight rinse up with my FoB conditioner. I may be gaslighting my hair. It's okay, it looks fine at the end of it all. 5) After letting that conditioner sit for the normal amount of time I let any conditioner sit, which is usually about a minute or two. I then rinse it out til I don't feel sticky. Finish up my shower routine, and at the end I put in my leave in conditioner. It's also a FoB product. I swear by the stuff, but this isn't a review for that. I'm gonna run out soon, and I have enough depression as it is. Lets change the subject. You should have beautifully toned hair! I will remind you not to make any decisions on if you like it or not UNTIL YOUR HAIR FULLY DRIES. Your hair will always look more bronze when it's wet. When my hair dries it's a completely different animal, and thanks to me adding that conditioning routine, it's soft as well. If that sounds like a lot of steps... well, it is. Your hair doesn't work for free. But I promise it doesn't take long. If you think 25-30 minutes in the shower for your FULL hair and body routine is a long time, you may have other issues that need addressing. But hey, I'm not a therapist. At the end of the day, I LOVE this stuff. And it's a gigantic bottle. I mean, about the length of my small dog. I'll get a lot of wear out of this stuff. I don't recommend washing your hair every day, and I don't recommend doing this deep cleanse and tone more than once a week. Wash your body all you want, but let your hair breathe. Dry shampoo is your friend. 5/5 stars for affordability and function. Now let me go set my timer.
Review: Best purple shampoo - This purple shampoo worked really well to lighten and tone my blonde. My hair lifts really brassy, and this shampoo got it to a nice neutral blonde. It does dry out my hair a bit after using it, but if you just follow it with conditioner it's fine. Personally, I apply a generous amount to my blonde sections and leave it for about 5 minutes after using my regular shampoo. It kind of stains my nail beds/cuticles but it goes away if you scrub. In the pic is a side-by-side of my hair without this shampoo, and after 3-4 uses! I would 100% recommend this purple shampoo to anyone looking to tone brassy hair.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this a sulfate free shampoo?**
A: This product is not sulfate free.

**Q: why is this $10 vs $39.99 on the salonguys site? makes it hard to believe in the authenticity of the product**
A: Hello,
As long as the seller on Amazon says "Salon Guys" then it is an authentic product. There are fake and imitation and non-authentic products and sellers out there and we are trying to combat that by our price point to mke it not profitable for unauthorized sellers, the Amazon price will not always be this price.

**Q: On the bottle it says on wet hair, in the item description it says on dry hair. So which one is correct? if so on dry hair how to treat it after? Thx**
A: You can do either damp or wet hair. I used mine when my hair was wet & when my hair was damp. It’s up to you, whatever your preference is. I didn’t tell a difference in my color either way, it came out beautiful with damp or wet hair. I wouldn’t put it on with your hair dry though because it might stick to your hair & be harder to wash out. Hope this helps!

**Q: Is this goog for natural gray/silver hair?**
A: Yes, this shampoo works well for gray/silver hair

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THIS WORKS. IT REALLY REALLY WORKS! It's a TONER not a daily shampoo!
*by C***S on January 2, 2020*

OK, you are looking at this product bc you are trying to get that brassiness out of your blonde or silver hair. Perhaps you're finally growing out your silver hair (GO YOU!) and you have had your hairdresser lift the color of your hair as blonde as it can go, or perhaps your grey/silver hair has weird yellow in it bc you visited your family at their farm and they use awful well water. So, you went to YouTube like the rest of us, and saw some brave woman use it. If not, you've got to do this too. You order this shampoo, this Italian Shampoo called Fanola NO YELLOW! (Say this with an Italian Accent - it's more fun). Now, do the following: 1) Get your Ipad set to music or a nice short tv show 2) Get little gloves so that this stuff doesn't stain your hands, but if it does, it will come out with some scrubbing. 3) Brush out your hair. 4) Open the Fanola NO YELLOW and say NO YELLOW FOR YOU! really loudly 5) The product smells like grape popsicle and chemicals. This is a good thing. 6) The product is deep black purple like raspberries. This is also a good thing. 7) Put that stuff all over the your hair, starting at the ends, and working up, depending on where your yellowish parts are, but ending up with it ALL OVER YOUR HAIR. 8) Gently brush or comb thru your hair to make sure it's completely covered. 9) Sit in your tub with some music/wine or movie. 10) Don't freak out as you see that there is PURPLE EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE. EVERYWHERE. It's sortof like those science shows that show you where all of the - well - the hidden fecal matter is in your house, but this is far less gross and more attractive. But still it's everywhere. 11) Relax in your tub. 12) Some people put this on dry hair, and left it for up to 30 minutes. I say start slowly like 10 at the most. 13) Ready to rinse? Good. Rinse like a demon. 14) Condition the hell out of your hair now, bc honestly, this product is drying and you will need a deep conditioner. 15) Say "FANOLA NO YELLOW! Three times loudly and in an Italian Accent." 16) Blow dry your hair (or however you do it). 17) Note your silvery locks. Look how much BETTER you look. Imagine how much MONEY you saved because you didn't have to go to the stylist and pay 40.00 for just a toning color that will rinse out in about 3 weeks. 18) You missed your stylist appointment anyway bc you got the flu and then you couldn't get another appointment bc it was the HOLIDAYS and YOUR stylist is more in demand than J Lo at the Superbowl. 19) Fantasize about breezing into your stylist after you do your own hair with this shampoo and say "Oh this? Oh my hair isn't brassy? Oh it's just a shampoo I use, bc you told me to use purple shampoo and well I just picked this one up." 20) Be happy that you aren't spending money trying to keep your own gray at bay and that you no longer are drying your hair RED bc that was so 90s and the 90s wasn't a great decade for you anyway. OK Better than the 80's but the 80's were just the shits for most people, hair wise. I notice that some folks say that this is a "fake product." My luck was excellent with this company. And the product came in perfect condition with no leaks or anything. Honestly if you get the same product that I did from this supplier, you should be OK. It WILL be DRYING to the hair! So don't forget to put in a nice conditioner. Then rinse it out bc if you leave in a condition that's not meant to be left in, your hair will suffer. Follow with a nice leave in conditioner. It's a terrific product. Just know it won't feel like Regular Shampoo. What to use between Fanola No Yellow? Some nice meek and mild Purple Shampoo, like Clairol Shimmer lights or Goldwell Purple shampoo? But when you need that Silvery Blast? FANOLA! NO YELLOW!
