Don't use chalk
These "mini chalkboards" are very cute -- don't get me wrong -- and you can't beat the price. But the fact that they are called "chalkboards" does seem to imply that you can use chalk to write on them. Chalk does not write well on these metal boards; the writing comes out streaky and hard to read. I'm going to try grease pencil next.

Very nice markers for the garden
Very nice markers for the garden. Works well with the Super Chalk liquid marker, water and rain doesn't wash it away.

Barcode stickers will not come off! Don't buy
I cannot get the huge Barcode stickers off of these cute little signs. I've tried everything including Goo Gone and dish soap and scrubbing with my nails. Terrible! Don't buy!
