How wide are the letters/numbers?

The stencil was page size. Letter width depending on the letter.

Can i use these to paint a wall? I will need to paint over some letters 2x. "S" 3x.

Why wouldn't you be able to? I am not sure what you mean exactly, but I would say yes. I used them to paint parking stall numbers.

Are these a good size for yard signs?

Yes they are. We We’re to use them on a shuffleboard court and they We’re too large.
