Alpha JX2 a solid choice for a bidet
Bought this to replace a brondell swash 1000 that quite working after a couple years. The brondell was the second of 2 I have had in this bathroom. I have 2 other brondell's (different model) in other 2 bathrooms. I have liked the way the brondell 1000 works but it seems the swash 1000 instantly stops working after a while--water starts a trickle then nothing. The last one I took apart and tried to fix but to no avail. The 1000 is expensive and works well till it breaks and frankly it should last much longer at its price point. So, that led to the change of brand. This Alpha JX2 was easy to install since I've installed multiple seats at this stage. Very straight forward install. The bracket that installs on the toilet before you slide the actual seat on is a little less robust than the Brondell and it doesn't have release buttons like the Brondell, but it was not an issue. I may have to loosen the plastic bolts securing that bracket when it makes sense to clean around the back and under the mount, but that is a minor thing to do. The Alpha works very well--certainly as well as the Brondel. The build quality, fit, finish, appearance and remote are all every bit as nice as the Brondell. The Alpha has a nite lite which is nice as well. The swash 1000 has no nite lite. I have lesser expensive brondells in two other bathrooms and they have nite lites. Really not a must have but the lite on this Alpha is a nice touch. If the other Brondell's break, I'd probably consider both brands unless this Alpha shows better long term reliability BUT I would not buy the Brondell at a much higher price point. Finally---I have well water with a very good softner and charcoal filter but I am at least aware that well water might affect these things and could have been the Brondell's undoing. Even so, I could replace the Alpha again if it fails and still be under the price of the Swash 1000.

I couldn't just let my wife get all the enjoyment. First the pros
First-time bidet owner here! Did lots of research into purchasing the right bidet, knowing that it is more of an appliance than it is anything else. I actually purchased this item for my wife because she marveled at the bidet she used when we recently went to eat at a sushi restaurant. Seeing the giant grin on her face after that experience, I just had to purchase one for the home. I wanted something that wasn't going to break the bank, but also something that was not a low-quality budget item, because when it comes to bidets, you really get what you pay for. Of course, once it arrived, I couldn't just let my wife get all the enjoyment. First the pros, in no particular order: - I love that the seat warms. Nothing worse than sitting on a cold-ass toilet seat - It really does have never-ending warm water, and you can adjust the temperature setting to your liking - The nozzle is adjustable using the remote, so no need to worry about it not hitting the right spot (so long as you're not sitting too far forward or back on your seat) - The remote is really handy, so that you don't have to fumble around with the seat itself. The remote comes with a holder that can be mounted on the nearest wall or location for easy access. - The water pressure is adjustable and there's definitely enough pressure as required. - The night light is more useful than you think. No need to use the bathroom light at all during the night hours. - Installation was very easy, especially considering there's a step-by-step youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37GKUNysjGU) - The Easy Wash function makes it... well.... easy to wash-up using a single button press. And now, the cons: There aren't any! But if I were forced to come up with something.... - The drying function is nice, but relatively useless. Still need to use some toilet paper to dab away the water, unless you want to sit for an additional 3 minutes to wait for the heated dry function. I prefer to just dab, and walk. Or occasionally, dab, sit, and let the heated air dry me more completely because, hey, why not slow down and enjoy the function every once in a while since it's there. - If you find that the nozzle position needs to be adjusted, you'll have to adjust it each time you use the seat (or adjust how you sit) because it does not remember where it was last positioned. But adjusting the nozzle is a single easily accessible button press on the remote. Nowhere near a deal breaker, but it's good to know this so as not to be surprised. So there you have it. I can't compare this bidet to other bidets on the market because this is the first one I've ever used and owned. But I am very happy with my purchase. Been using it for a good 3 months now. I should also note that the instructions say that the bidet needs to be connected to a GFCI outlet. Also, you have to plug it in somewhere and most bathrooms do not have an outlet located right behind or near the toilet, so you'll have to consider that. I was going to hire an electrician to install an outlet near my toilet because mine is in a room all by itself with no outlet available. But the cost was going to be a couple hundred more than the bidet itself. No thanks! I simply plugged an extension cord in the nearest outlet and dressed it along the wall and to the toilet. If you want to do something similar, I have pictures to give an idea. The bathroom outlet is already on a GFCI circuit, so I'm covered there. I'm not an electrician, so I'm not advocating that you do the same as I did unless you consult a qualified electrician, but it worked out in my case and saved me a great deal.

Worth the money!
The Alpha JX2 is an excellent bidet seat! I also have a Bio Bidet BB-1000 which does have the strongest spray when set to "Vortex," in my opinion. But that setting is intended for constipation which the BB-1000 handles well. The rear spray on the jx2 is quite strong for cleaning and does the job. The spray feels more like a wide spray than a narrow stream, but it targets where it needs too. I've actually set the intensity one bar below max and usually do two cycles. I follow up with two cycles of the dryer, also set one bar below max, and I'm clean and dry. I also really like the "mist spray," that I use both before and after doing my business and I find that really helps to keep the bowl clean. Seating is comfortable, the night lite works great and the remote is easy to hold and use. All the features of the jx2 work really well and I'm very happy with this purchase!!

Almost returned; glad I didn't (JX2, elongated)
I got this to retrofit a one-piece toilet. Upon reviewing the installation instructions, it became apparent that the toilet seat could not be installed as directed without un-seating the toilet from the floor because of lack of access when using the seat bolts provided. I packed the seat up for return. Fortunately, it turned out the old seat had expandable rubber nuts, and I was able to use the old bolts with the flange provided. I have noticed with the UA model these seem to be the bolts that are provided. In the model I received, the bolts were of the standard style and could not be used on a one-piece toilet without unseating the toilet. I don't know if I had old stock or why expandable bolts were not available Again, when trying to install the tee valve supplied, the toilet would have to be unseated in order to have enough clearance to install to the tank. I had to order a new tee, (3/8x3/8x1/2) to attach at the supply end instead of at the tank. I have read in the description for the UA model that buyer should let the manufacturer know if buying for a one-piece toilet so that a different tee could be supplied. With the correct fittings the installation was a piece of cake. The features are easy to use and work well. Water temperature heats up instantly so there is minimal shock in that first instance. The pre-spray really seems to keep the bowl cleaner. the three-year warranty is a step above other brands. The idea of a bidet seat was completely foreign to me and was at the urging of my wife. The experience did take a little getting used to but is much more hygienic than before. I am sold. Alpha bidet works for the alpha man!

Unit Failed in 3 months...
First of all, this Bidet just set in the box unopened for almost three months after I bought it while my entire house was being renovated. I was finally able to install the bidet and use it when two or so months later the water jet went from a comfortable and effective spray amount to what I would consider just a little more than a drip system. BidetKing wants me to pay to ship the item back to them to get it fixed. At one point Bidetking asked if I wanted them to ship me a part and i fix the unit myself. This is assuming I received the actual part that is faulty. I declined as I didn't think this would be a good idea. Items under warranty should only be worked on by the warranty contractors. This way the company can't claim the the owner in anyway did something to void the warranty. That's when cordiality starts to break down and the parties become hostile. BidetKing tech support had me run through a few troubleshooting efforts, but to no avail. And, they won't send me an exchange unit. The Bidetking warehouse is in El Monte, CA, which is approximately an hour and twenty minutes south of me. I offered to drive the item down to them. We'll see if the issue is so simple that they can fix it while I am there and hand it back over to me. My wife and I have always had simple cold water type bidet in the past. We had them for years and not one of them ever broke on us in any way. We are really disappointed with this Alpha JX, given what this bidet cost. I hope we won't regret this purchase, considering we've put one in every bathroom in our house. I will write an update to this review depending on how that goes. By the way, the unit is very easy to installed. But, what good is that if it doesn't work? UPDATE: So, I sent the bidet in to Bidetking twice to get it fixed. The second time Bidetking sent me a refurbished unit a gave me a period of time to send my faculty bidet before charging me. There was no additional cost to me to do any of this. However, the refurbished unit had the wrong water spray nozzle (single hole) installed. The proper spray nozzle has two holes. This is not insignificant. The dual spray nozzle is has a more powerful spray and thus cleans better and faster and may use better quality materials. I was so exhausted with dealing with this issue that I didn't even bother to call Bidetking to have it replaced. That said, I haven't had a problem with the bidet since. I don't know if I'll be buying from this company again. I expect something this expensive to work without all the time spent discovering problems and getting it fixed. Finally, I expect it to be fixed by competent workers and properly.

Not Perfect, But Pretty Darn Good
This is my 1st bidet seat and, really, my 1st bidet experience. Conclusion: whereโve you been all my life? I did my research and determined that the JX2 was the one to try. Iโve been using it for a solid 6 months now, and Iโve gotten quite used to it. Iโm disappointed if I have to use the other bathroom now. The JX2 was part of a comprehensive bathroom renovation. My fist mistake was going with a round instead of elongated commode bowl. There are a few reasons for this, but suffice it to say, I definitely recommend the elongated over the round, if you have the choice. The beeping: yes, there is a faint โbeepโ when I sit down (and, I think, also when I stand up.) This can be turned off by plugging in the JX2 while depressing a button on the seat. Iโve found that the house power invariably gets interrupted within days of me doing this, though, and when it comes back on, the seat defaults to beeping again. So, Iโve just gotten used to the beeping. This oneโs not that loud. (But itโs still dumb that it beeps. Who needs a toilet seat that beeps? Everything beeps these days. Itโs maddening.) The bidet-ing itself is pleasant and effective overall. Sometimes I run concurrent cycles, just to be sure. I recommend pressing the bidet button twice, which gets the wand to do a slight, back-and-forth, scrubbing motion. It was interesting to me to experience changing the water temperature on-the-fly. You push the temp button and that water temperature instantly changes. Speaking of, Alpha should be able to figure out a way to have the initial blast of water be as warm as the rest of it, because it ainโt. It is ALWAYS frigid-cold, just for a second, long enough to make me make a face, and then itโs pleasant. One thing I have noticed recently, temperature-wise, is that the water isnโt always as warm as it was. Maybe my wife is fidgeting with the temp control (which I doubt because she likes everything hotter than I like it), or maybe itโs because the incoming water is much colder than it was in the summer and fall. Regardless, Iโve had some cooler than expected bidets this winter. My wife has complained that, although the wandโs position can be adjusted, she still canโt get it to move far enough forward to be useful in the female application. I have had the same issue at the opposite end. When Iโm ready to bidet, even after I draw the wand back as far as it will go, I still have to scoot a little โtooโ forward on the seat to feel optimally situated. Here is where the elongated bowl and seat (as opposed to the round) could have solved a lot. The drying feature could get warmer faster, which I think would help it not to take so long. I donโt feel the warmth (which could be warmer) until itโs at least a third of the way into its cycle, maybe half way. Before that, itโs just like a cool breeze. It gets high marks for aim though, good aim, just slow to dry. My wife likes the heated seat function, though I could do without it. We both like the night-light feature. I donโt even have to turn the bathroom light on in the middle of the night anymore. I can see everything I need to see. If I was to suggest anything to Alpha, like if they asked me, Iโd maybe recommend a model with a throttle on the side, like driving a boat, something you could pull back on to crank up the water pressure. Iโd buy that (and maybe a Captainโs hat to wear with it).

Great Luxury Bidet.
Purchased in February 2024, I found this bidet to be a nice luxury commodity addition for our master bathroom. We graduated from the simpler tushy bidets we now have in our guest bathrooms and all the extra features on this one are well worth the price. The bidet it is very easy to install, looks great with the ambience lighting, and is fairly comfortable. The oscillating cleaning feature it is appreciated along with the ability to warm the water during the winter. The seat can also be easily removed for more detailed cleaning as opposed to other bidets we own. The remote it is easy to operate and has a long battery life. The front washing feature for women it is also appreciated by the lady of the house. Update: I experienced an issue with the water pressure dropping approximately 1 1/2 years into ownership. I contacted support and they were very prompt in replying, offering options to ship in the unit for repair or send me the needed part. I opted for them to ship me the part which was shipped promptly. Once received, it took all of 10-15 minutes to replace and was good as new. Was very satisfied with their customer service and warranty support.

Quality product and easy installation.
The bidets were easy to install and all the features work great 3 months later. With the bidet height being higher than a standard toilet seat it is worth looking into getting a slightly lower toilet is you are doing a new build, or buying a new toilet. I am almost 6 feet tall and my lower legs are straight. For shorter people you might want to buy a slightly lower toilet. Otherwise no complaints at all and this is an American company so chances are you can get parts vs buying from a non-North American company.

Life changer
I'm 400 lbs with a big booty and I poop alot.. this thing makes going to the bathroom an enjoyment... the quality is outstanding... first the night light is awesome because it's just bright enough that the room is dark but I can see to take a leak..the lid lowers slowly which eliminates noise.. and it has alot of power in the sprayer... the hot water on your bumhole feels really good and it eliminates wiping 5 times... its not rated for ppl 400 lbs but I've used mine 1000 times sense I've had it and it's just like the day I took it out the box over a year ago... must have

Toto step aside
Alpha bidet is a remarkable and brilliant design to toilet hygiene Replaced the Toto 'Washlet' after eleven years of uninterrupted use However due to age it was without sophistication just a basic unit Admire the remote control for simplicity of imagery Love the Alpha pulsing wash and the fact it pre-starts water upon sitting No issues mounting as I was able to reuse the original hardware Plumbing and electrical were simple exchanges Love the night light as I am active pre-dawn Highly recommend this bidet for simple comfort
